“Excellent location,1st class !”

Hotel is convieniently located near Ubahn and main shopping centers,Staff was very polite and helpful. Rooms were comfortable by European standards, not as large as American hotels but roomy enough. Very close to the hop on and off sightseeing buses so that visiting city during day was easy. Would definitely return. Hotel restaurant was a bit pricey for breakfast but there were many coffee shops nearby,

Area recommendations
Berlin is such a large city That there are so many areas to visit. Best way to see town is on hop on ,off sightseeing tours. Gives you a great overview.

“Great Location”

Just 2 blks from Sbahn. Check out the Bavarum in the basement of the Saturn Mall, just another two blocks away. This hotel has a smoking bar. Good prices on Cuban cigars. Ask for a room away from the street.

Savoy is located in a very safe neighborhood. I would stay here again.

“In the Heart of the West Side Shopping District”

The Savoy is in a great location, accessible by all of the public transportations, including the site seeing tour buses, and the rooms were very clean. The only downfall is that they did not have any air conditioning, so the rooms were quite hot by the end of the day, during the July summer, and the breakfast was a very pricey additional 19 Euro per day (which is ridiculous when all you need is a bowl of cereal and a glass of water!). However, the hotel is situated in an area where there are many restuarants and cafe's so you will not go without many choices for your eating pleasure!

Area recommendations
I would recommend this area if you want to be close to shopping and restaurants, or the Potsdam area which is within walking distance of the Brandenburg gate.

“old-fashioned comfort in Berlin”

The Savoy is a wonderful hotel located in a super location for getting around the city of Berlin. The S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and bus stops are all within two blocks of the hotel. There are also lots of good restaurants, shopping and attractions within walking distance. Also, a very handy and huge supermarket is 1 1/2 blocks away for buying water, snacks, toiletries, etc. We want to return to Berlin in the warmer weather when the trees have leaved out, and would definitely stay at the Savoy again.

“Great location - friendly service.”

Centrally located, this hotel is close to public transportation, and close to wonderful restaurants along Kant Strasse towards Savigny Platz. We had a room in the front, but the wonderful windows blocked out all the street noise. Since it was March, we slept with the windows closed at night. There is a computer and printer in the lobby for guests to check emails and use free of charge. We would definitely return next time we visit Berlin.

“Very pleasant.”

Great hotel with beutiful decor restaurant. I always stay here where I pass through Berlin. Great location for food, shopping and live events (music). Hotel has cuban cigar shop and lounge...very great combo. Highly recommend it! Rooms are big with big tiled washrooms. Stayed at least in a few different rooms in Savoy through my traveling to Berlin. I was always happy there. deal for the price...O,o,o nice sauna room downstairs.

Area recommendations
I think anything around hotel is going to great...from Thai food to great fish dishes...Explore yourself! Take a short taxi ride to Tiergengarten and walk along Spree river!

“Great hotel in a fabulous location.”

The Savoy Berlin hotel is very nice. Very nice, spacious room with an equally nice bathroom. It was nice to have access to a walk up computer in the lobby. Perhaps even better than the hotel itself was the location. It is wihtin just 250 meters of an S Bahn station. We were able to ride the S Bahn from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof to the station near the hotel and walk to our hotel - quick and no cab expense. The neighborhood also has many wonderful restaurants. I especially recommend Savigny Platz - a short walk down Kantstrasse - for wonderful dining options.

Area recommendations
The walk along the Unter den Linden from Brandenberg Gate to Alexanderplatz is terrific. Loved the Berlin Story - a book store on Unter den Linden - great gifts and a video about Berlin. Museum Island is fantastic. I would also recommend Gendarmenmarkt - beautiful plaza with great restaurants both on and off the plaza. While you are in Berlin you should visit Potsdam. The Castles and associated grounds are beautiful. You can walk to them from the S Bahn station.
Getting around
Using the S Bahn and U Bahn are very easy. We arrived at the Berlin Hauptbahnhof on a train from Prague. We switched platforms and rode the S7 to within walking distance (even with our luggage) of our hotel. Also rode the S Bahn to Potsdam - only 2.8 Euro each!

“Better than expected!”

I can't believe the great deal that I got on this hotel. It felt like a five star hotel. The service was exceptional, the room was immaculate, and the location was perfect. I was able to walk to public transportation and there were plenty of wonderful little restaurants nearby. The lobby is attached to a cigar lounge which also serves alcohol. I enjoyed the convenience of having a bar/lounge onsite. I was also pleased that even though my room was on the first floor, the cigar smell did not drift to my room. My only complaint might have been due to the loud music that kept me awake on Saturday night. There was some sort of celebration going on in the reception area downstairs directly below my room. It stopped around 1AM though. Overall, I loved this hotel and would highly recommend it.

“Close to shopping and tours”

I wasn't sure what we were going to get by booking the hotel online, but I walked into the Savoy and was more than pleasantly surprised. It was clean and modern. The room was large and comfortable and the staff at the front desk were so nice. The hotel is about a block from Kurfurstendam, which is a main shopping street and also where you can catch the hop on hop off tour bus, so it couldn't have been any more conveniently located. The only minor draw back to the hotel is that there is a smoking bar just next to the lobby, because of that you tend to smell smoke but it didn't seem to carry all the way up to the fourth floor, which was good. I highly recommend this hotel for a quick weekend trip to Berlin.
