“Excellent hotel and service”

Altho' situated in the commercial area this fairly new is ideally situated for a tourist. It is near all modes of transport so getting around is very easy. If breakfst is not included would suggest a 2 minute stroll to a very nice eating place. The reason being that breakfast is quite expensive but does afford a good choice

“Excellent location for tourists”

Lovely hotel - very quiet and such comfy beds. I have never stayed at a Scandic before, but would happily chose this chain again after my experience in Berlin. It is also in a great location, just a short walk from Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenberg Gate and the Holocaust Memorial. Good public transport links nearby too.

“Excellent location”

This hotel was superb in every way. The location could hardly be bettered, 2 minutes walk from the S Bahn, U Bahn and a shopping and entertainment complex. It is also within walking distance of loads of visitor attractions. The hotel was very clean and smart. The rooms had a small fridge, which was very handy. The only downside to the rooms, as mentioned before, was the very strange door to the bathroom, which was mirrored and transparent when the light was on. The staff were polite and friendly, apart from the bar staff who sometime seemed a little reluctant to serve. I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there. The price I paid with Expedia for this hotel was an absolute bargain.

“Berlin holiday”

We had a wonderful holiday in Berlin and the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. The only slight niggle I had was that it would have been nice to have tea / coffee making facilities in the room.

“great city break in Berlin”

Lovely hotel and staff, only thing we were not too happy with was there is no dressing-table mirror and the hairdryer is in the bathroom so two people couln't get ready at the same time.. The bathroom door is a sliding door and not a snug fit so privacy is reduced, there is a glass panel between the bath and bedroom so light shows in the bedroom if the bathroom light is put on at night and the only toiletries were 2 squeezy bottles of soap attached to the wall which ran out and we had to ask for replacements.. not great when half way through a shower!... Overall though the room was light, airy and comfortable.. Location is great with a train station right next door...we would definately stay here again!

“We will go there again”

Thsi is a new Hotel and has some of the issues that confront any new place. The rooms are well appointed. The staff is still learning their jobs and the service is a tad slow. The location is wonderful for, more so if you are doing things in the Potsdamer Platz area. Good transportation hub.

“Perfect Berlin Marathon Hotel”

Stayed 3 nights at the Scandic as part of a long weekend for the Berlin Marathon. Had a twin room for me and my running partner and it was just great: - Clean and very stylishly decorated in Scandinavian style - Good value for money - Brilliantly located (underground and shopping centre on the doorstep and 1km from the run start at Brandenberg Gate) - Friendly staff - Breakfast on marathon day can be a horror - not here, room for all - Rooms spacious and well decorated and equipped - didn't hear any noise even though the hotel was full

“Berlin Treat”

The only downside to the whole trip was the airport taxi driver having no idea where the hotel was despite providing the zip code and street name. Fortunately I had noted the hotel's reasonably close proximity to the Gemeldegalerie, which fortunately the driver knew. After finding the hotel myself, the whole stay and hotel experience was great. The room was extremely clean, the bed was firm and comfortable and the shower powerful. There is a soft piping of birds singing through the corridors. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient too. I never ate at the hotel so I can't comment on the food facilities. It is very well placed for galeries though. For those who prefer modern art - there is the Neue Nationalgalerie, less than 5 minutes walk away, and then the Renaissance art is just a further minutes walk at the Gemeldegalerie. Aside from the galeries you are just a minute away from the Potsdamer Platz and a short walk from the Sony Centre. The whole area is extremely clean, the people very friendly and the general architecture of the area constantly surprising. I shall be planning a return trip in the nogt too distant future.

“Fantastic Hotel”

The Scandic Hotel at the Potsdammer Platz is excellent; it is so central for so much of Berlin's amazing history. There is an underground station next door to the hotel, too, so that just adds to the convenience.
