“Nice hotel in a nice location”

The Sofitel is located very conveniently at the Gendarmenmarkt in the center of Berlin. Right around the corner there are lots of shopping facilities. The service was great, breakfast was very nice. The only negative thing I have to say is the size of the room. It was rather small. There wasn't much space to sit because the room was almost completely filled out by the bed. But it was still a nice room with a nice bathroom and shower. I would definitely go back there.

This was a great experience and near cultural and commercial areas of interest. Just the perfect location for traveling throughout the city yet in a very historic and formal area. Just perfect.

“In Berlin: This Is The Place”

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of many museums, fine restaraunts and great shopping. The lobby area is small, but contains a convenient business center for checking email. The room wasn't huge, but was quiet and very nice for spending the night. We will stay here again on our next trip to Berlin.

“Sofitel Berlin”

An excellent hotel with a friendly staff and lovely rooms, although a bit dark. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

“great value, even with the exchange rate”

This is a first rate hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Perfectly located,I was able to tour many of the top spots of Berlin on foot. Also, the Gendarmenmarkt, just steps away from the hotel is a very pleasant spot to drink, eat and soak up the environment. And most importantly, when the hotel staff says they have the best breakfast in town, believe it! It's a little pricey for breakfast, but it's a buffet and the food is so good, you could eat enough for breakfast and lunch. I'll definitely stay here again!

“An oasis in bustling mitte”

the staff went out of their way to make us very comfortable - they also arranged for our visit to the Reichstag as we didn't realize you needed to book a visit 3 days in advance. The room was very quiet and had a lovely view of the gendarmenmarkt across the street.

“Great for everybody”

it is very good location, close to everything, very nice and profesional personal, everybody speak perfectly English. To get to the Aeroport to the hotel take Bus TXL which is cheap. The life in Berlin is unbelivebale. Hotel is close to the German Dom and French Dom, accros the street is the beautiful mark: Geandarmenmarkt where the atmosfere is a dream. Many bars and restaurants around and the price is the best in Europe. I am living now in Belgium, but the beer from Germany is very good too.... Booked, is the best!

“Not more than a day”

Location of the hotel is excellent, but the rooms, at least the one we had was extremely small. I don't like the idea of the bathroom/toilet having a glass door. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good too, on the expensive side though. If the price for the hotel is right than it is a good choice.

“Nice vacation base but not great for business”

Hotel was clean and staff professional and helpful. Internet access is an issue with passwords etc. Room smaller and bedding not as comfortable as other Sofitels and bathroom design is strange.TV programming is OK if one speaks German and as all English speaking shows and movies are dubbed, English speaking channels are limited to news. Gym was OK. Mini bar best not to use as the prices are extortionate.
