Christmas Markets In Berlin Weekend TripPosted Dec 6, 2013
Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient.
Location: Very close to the Markets, the UBahn and the main shopping street. But located in a quiet square just far enough away to be peaceful yet convenient

Quiet oasis in the center of BerlinPosted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: Quiet room to the courtyard. Very pleasant bar/lounge and restaurant.
Cons: I think they should give you two pieces of soap, one for the shower and one for the sink. Also, it would be nice to have wash rags.
Location: It is just one block from the Gedaechtniskirche and close to public transportation. Not the prettiest part of the town, but lively and good shopping.

excellent city hotelPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, location
Cons: Spa, gym, WLAN could be faster
Location: perfect starting point for sightseeing and shopping within walking distance. KaDeWe, Ku-damm, Zoo, Aquarium, etc.
we travelled with a 3 year old child which was easy. helpfull staff. we booked the executive floor including access to the executive lounge. unfortunately the lounge was replaced by a little attractive gym. however, the two workstations are still there and can be used for free. We were offered free breakfast instead of the lounge which was a very nice deal since the breakfast buffet is exceptional. from sparkling wine to home made bread to organic food - you name it. no problem leaving the stroller outside the room in the corridor. look for attractive packages in combination with Air Berlin.

Great hotel in the centre of BerlinPosted Nov 25, 2013
We had a great stay at the Steigenberger. It is close to several different U bahn lines and just off the major shopping street- ku'damm. The rooms are a little on the small size but who needs a massive room for a weekend? They are clean, well stock with tea and coffee and toiletries and have everything you need. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We really enjoyed the spa, (pool is very cool but isn't massive though) and the piano bar does great cocktails and has a lovely vibe. We got a very good rate and so it was excellent value for money. If you are looking for a boutique, super luxurious hotel I probably wouldn't recommend but for a really good, big city centre hotel with lots of facilities, you can't go wrong.

Great location as a base for Berlin tripPosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff. Luxurious without being pretentious. Clean high class room.
Cons: Nothing that I experienced
Location: Major shopping, good restaurants, close to metro and start point for city tour buses.
This Hotel is south west of the centre of Berlin, in my opinion a perfect location to base yourself. It's a large luxurious hotel tucked away in a quiet square. Hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, 2 bars and a large restaurant. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Just a very comfortable, quiet, luxury hotel without any pretensions. My room had all the usual comforts I'd expected.

Excellent central location for shopping.Posted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: The room was spotlessly clean and of a reasonable size.
Cons: Our room was some distance from the lift and the view out of the window was of an enclosed courtyard. Poor choice of English language T.V.
Location: Several large department stores and main bus routes are a few minutes walk away, but the hotel is on a quiet square off the main street.
Hotel's location is its strength especially for those who have come to Berlin for shopping or who plan to use the local bus system to get about. The reception staff were business-like but not especially helpful or welcoming. Similarly the hotel directory in the room gave only limited information. Seemed like more of a business hotel than a tourist one. We did not try the breakfast as it was too expensive (23euros) but there are several cafés nearby as an alternative.
