“Fab Central Berlin Hotel”
We booked the Mandala Suites for location and price for a room of such size. The welcome was warm and considering it's not a hotel it offered a very high level of service. All was clearly explained eg keycards, entrances/exits after reception closed, facilities.
The suite was simply fantastic. It overlooked the external courtyard shared with other buildings so nice and quiet. It comprised a good-sized bedroom with kingbed and great storage, bathroom with shower over bath, separate toilet, huge lobby with lots of storage for coats and suitcases and a fab living room (with balcony but as Dec we didn't use it) with pretty decently equipped smart kitchen. We could easily have stayed there for a month it was so comfortable - and appears that many people do exactly that.
The only confusion was over breakfast. I was fairly sure it wasn't included but we were told all about it and then weren't sure but at no point did anyone mention the cost and we forgot to ask. If you do decide to have breakfast it's approx €18 each. It's buffet style with as much as you could eat. The room is small, they obviously expect most guests to use their kitchens so if full it could get very busy. It was fine when we were there, no problems getting a table and the staff really are very helpful. They prepare hot options to order alongside the very plentiful cold buffet offerings which included lots of fruit, meats and cheeses, different breads and pastries.
We would definitely return.
