Good hotel, centrally located.

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Comfortable suite; location. Bathtub is enormous -- a big treat.
Cons: For older travelers: it would be good to have non-slip strips in bathtub. Also, it would be helpful to have a plastic/metal stol in bathroom.
Location: Near many of historical sites -- easy access to public transit. Many cafes, restaurants.
The hotel is centrally located, an easy walk to many historical sites. The suites are comfortable and well-maintained. Excellent choice especially for older travelers. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Great location if you are walking.

Great location in the centre of everything. If your walking this is the place to stay central to everything. Underground outside, Personally the bed was to hard for me, but I'd stay there again because of the location and great rooms.

Perfect stay and location

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: We liked everything (Except for the expensive breakfast -- Not worth it)
Cons: The breakfast is too expensive for what you get -- Eat somewhere else.
Location: Check Point Charlie is very close, the subway line is outside the front door, great restaurants in the area -- A favourite - Fassbender Chocolates
We had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen and separate bedroom. The stay was perfect and the location was excellent. Check out the world's largest chocolate store just 1 1/2 blocks away. We used the free laundry facilities as we had already been in Europe for 2 weeks and were joining a cruise ship tour from Berlin.

Value for money, much like the Ascott Service Apts

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: not really other than double plate the windows on the street side in order to cut down on the noise
Location: fine
This service apt is very nice and quite practical. Be sure to take a room on the courtyard, as the apts on the street are really noisy. A good comparison would be some of the Ascott properties, such as in Dubai, Beijing, London. --Clean, efficient, practical, comfortable, without being in any way plushy. Again like the Ascott, the Mandala is not a hotel, it is a service apt, so you do not have the services of a hotel --which you pay for but seldom use. So this is a really good, value for money alternative.

Good value serviced apartment

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Location: Excellent. We walked to most of the main sights. A subway stations are at the door step.
Stayed 4 nights at an one bed room apartment . Amenities and other services are the same as ordinary 4 or 5 star hotels. Very good value for money. Very handy for long term travellers since full kitchen equipped and washing machines are available . Friendly staff and they are very helpful.

Hotel Location

Pros: Facilities and Location.
Cons: Improve the exhaust fan over the cooker to prevent the smoke detector from setting off the alarm.
Location: High end Shopping, Bakeries and Restaurants..
Pleasantly surprised much better than what we expected.

Nice suite in a great location

Posted May 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is not a full service hotel. The front desk is only open during the day/evening but I didn't find this to be a problem. The rooms were quite large with balconies and kitchenettes. The location is very close to the Gendarmenmarkt and many upscale stores. It is about halfway between Checkpoint Charlie and Unter den Linden which are both about a 10 minute walk. There is a good Bavarian restaurant in the same building as the hotel.

Comfort, Right in the Center of Berlin

Posted Apr 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Mandala Suites offers a handsome, roomy apartment with bedroom, living room, foyer, small terrace, and abbreviated kitchen facilities (small fridge, microwave, 2-burner stove) in one of the most convenient locations in Berlin. 2 U-Bahn (subway) lines are just out front and buses a block away, so you can reach virtually any attraction quickly. It's an easy walk to Museum Island, the Brandenberg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie. There's a good, moderately-priced restaurant in the same complex, and a well-stocked grocery store a few minutes away. The service was kind and professional, though room cleaning schedule was unpredictable, and we had a balky refrigerator.
