Friendly staff, quiet hotel, beautiful scenery.

Pros: Friendly staff, quiet hotel, beautiful location.
Cons: Would like to see some kind of kiosk or small convenience store for snacks. It would also be nice to have one or two gift shops in the lobby.
Location: Location is lovely. Shuttles and taxis make it relatively easy to get around.
We would definitely go back to Elbow Beach. The only disappointment was there is no snack or convenience store onsite.

Absolutely beautiful

Posted Apr 16, 2015
I took my two 17 year old daughters here for their senior trip. Even though it was considered "off season" we had a fantastic time. The hotel and staff were amazing. They new us by name. The property is so beautiful and the beach is the cleanest beach I've ever seen. I highly recommend swimming with dolphins at Dolphin Quest, have drinks with Danny in the Library and enjoy a spa treatment.

Hotel directly on beach

Posted Mar 31, 2015
This resort was Bery nice , the only down fall was there were no rooms in main building they are all being redo , the main pool was close due to construction the beach was just starting to have Maintance done to it to get ready for the summer season Mickey beach bar was closed , little pricey but well worth it , beware if you go to for a drink , it's a 17% gutuity charge

Great room close to the beach

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The staff, the grounds, our room, and the moped rental service on site.
Location: The hotel is only a ten minute ride into Hamilton and a ten minute ride from the great beaches further up, like horseshoe beach.
We stayed at Elbow Beach for 4 nights in early August. The hotel is beautiful, with a grand entrance and check in area and lovely cottage buildings spread around acres of beautiful lawns and gardens. All rooms are in the cottages, and all will involve walking. If your cottage is lower, you'll be close to the beach but will have to walk up the hill to the pool and main reception. If your cottage is higher up, you'll be walking down to the beach. Our room was really nice. It had a kind size bed and a whole sitting area and very large bathroom. There was also an outdoor patio with two lounge chairs looking over a good view of the lawns and ocean. The service was great. The people were very nice and friendly, and we had a lot of help in making reservations for dinner and figuring out places to go. There is an onsite moped rental, which is great, and the people were really nice there, too. One of the restaurants was closed when we were there. The one that was open was very good for lunch. The pool was nice, although it could have been cleaner. The beach was also nice, with clean sand and beach chairs and towels. The beach goes a long way, so it's great for walking. The only criticism I had was the fact that the ice machine wasn't working in our building (although we called the desk and someone brought us ice within ten minutes). Also, because we were there off-season, the hot tub was closed, as was the beach restaurant.

Beautiful location on Elbow Beach

Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: Elbow Beach is a gorgeous stretch of pink sand and amazing blue and turquoise water. The Sea Breeze Cafe breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The resort is going through a major renovation and will be something to behold in a couple of years. For now it is a perfect spot in need of some work
Location: Great spot located on the South beaches. Hamilton is a $15 cab ride. St. George about $40 cab ride. We used the bus and ferry, $15 for a day pass
We spent 4 nights in mid March. The weather was cool with some rain, but mostly very nice. The main hotel building is closed for renovation in advance of the 2017 Americas Cup. We stayed in one of the lower cabana-like buildings, Jasmine, in a King Ocean View room. It was very comfortable with an expansive view of the ocean. We toured the island, mostly by bus and ferry, with trips to St. Georges, Hamilton, and the Royal Navy Dockyard. We found the taxis to be friendly and convenient but a bit expensive. The bus system goes EVERYWHERE and you never wait for more than a few minutes. The day pass is good for the bus AND the ferry. The drivers and other passengers (mostly locals) are very friendly and will help you if you have questions about which bus to take and where to get off. I think this is a tremendous way to see the island and all of its beauty, and to experience the friendly culture of Bermuda as well. The Lobster Pot, Portofino, and Flanagan's in Hamilton were all great places to eat. The Frog and Onion in the Naval Dockyard was good, but the Pickled Onion in Hamilton was very disappointing.
