Pros: The beach is wonderful.
Cons: If this were $200 less per night, not so much. But the room cost is completely out of line with the downtrodden facilities and the apathetic service.
This hotel was recommended to us by a friend and after the first day I couldn't wait to find out why she thought it was worth visiting. The original part of the hotel is largely disserted and the remaining facilities are under utilized, badly maintained and poorly designed (the bar is nothing more than a shelf along the wall and a grand piano is placed in a large room that is otherwise empty). The rooms are housed in detached buildings away from the main lobby. They are comfortable but finishes are dated. Because the doors open directly to the outdoors, the rooms quickly become very humid as the inside cool air mixes with the hot humid outside air. The result is a lingering smell that reminds me of a locker room. The beach and views are actually amazing but service there is very unpredictable. We had one server for covering most of the beach and the little red ribbons on the umbrella were completely ineffective.

Loved it! Beautiful beach.Posted Aug 24, 2014
Even prior to our arrival, staff were excellent! Helping with reservations and planning our stay. Elegant lobby and grounds. Room was beautiful with a wonderful ocean view as promised! Property is large and on a hill, we preferred to walk- however staff available with transport vehicles around the clock. Restaurants on property were also good. Was a wonderful trip we thoroughly enjoyed!

Wonderful staff and service. Beautiful beach and good location on the island. But the bed caused backaches and the room needed a few upgrades.

Would definitely come back!Posted Jun 30, 2014
Nice hotel with private beach, several restaurant options on the property. We didn't stay long enough to use tennis courts or pool, but overall we had a great time.

Great experience every timePosted May 27, 2014
This is the 5th time I stayed here and every time the experience was great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms and the whole big property is very clean and carefully maintained. Doesn't feel like a typical resort. It's a great place for all type of getaways.

Beautiful viewPosted Apr 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The grounds and view from our room was beautiful. Everything was very well maintained. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Although the location was beautiful, there were very few options with respect to food without getting the bus into town. Mopeds are not an option for senior citizens due to high traffic and windey roads. Food was incredibly expensive all over the island.....although that was somewhat expected.
