“FourWays Excellent!”
The FourWays was exactly what we wanted in Bermuda--quiet, peaceful, GREAT restaurant, and convenient transportation to Hamilton--but one minute walk and ferry a five minute walk. The upgraded room with a living room was definitely worth the price.
“Fourways: Central location, real Bermuda cottages”
We arrived at the Fourways in the middle of a very busy Halloween brunch; our host and staff quickly got us settled and comfortable. Room spacious, clean, charming; location steps away from ferry & bus stops and the Rail Trail [important for walkers!] in the middle of the island; Elbow Beach a mile away. Restaurant on location 4 star in our book! Loads of fresh fruit and pastry with Continental breakfast, delivered to your room. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Immaculate cottages on nicely landscaped grounds situated for privacy if desired. Fourways known island-wide: every bus and taxi driver knew where to drop us. Location is quiet but a 10 minute ferry ride from Hamilton; other island locations easily reached from the Fourways. Enjoyed drinks in the cozy 18th century bar. We'd go back in a second!
“Wonderful Experience”
My only disappointment was the extra charges put on the room at the end. I know the disclaimer on this website about extra changes, but I had budgeted a specific amount for the trip. In Short, we were changed an extra $30 a day for room cleaning, and extra 6% a day for a Bermuda tourism fee, and and extra 7.25% a day for taxes. That adds several hundred dollars for a weeks stay. Other than that, I had read a review about someone not being able to access the internet from their cottage. I had no problems. I would totally recommend this place, just budget yourself for the full expense, and to be fair, I would assume these changes are the same across all the Bermuda hotels. We also rented a scooter from Elbow beach cycles. Would recommend then too. Very nice staff. You have to have a driving test (they give it), and it takes about 30 minutes (they have you follow them around getting used to the cycle and driving on the left). They drop off and pick you up from your hotel and they are on the web too. I
“very satisfied”
Great place to stay. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Right on bus route and close to ferry to Hamilton. Restaurant is one of the best on the island with great food and service. Grocery store is only 1 minute away. Went during the start of the off season (Dec 1) so rates were much more attractive, yet there were no tourist crowds and weather was in 70s and very nice. Elbow Beach is 15 minute walk or 10 minute bus with transfer. Would definitely return and stay here again.
“Perfect location”
Hotel staff was wonderful and always aimed to please. Alex when out of his way to make our stay perfect by lining up moped rentals, cabs, and by giving us general tips and island info. Continental breakfast every morning delivered to your door was a plus. The patio that each room had was a wonderful atmosphere for morning coffee or a relaxing evening drink.
“Reasonable according to the price to pay for it”
Very convenient location but it´s not in downtown. However, a local bus rides you every 20-30 minutes to downtown. This is very important as most of the roads haven´t pedestrian paths and the walk may be a little dangerous. The hotel is pretty outdated but the atmosphere is unique: old fashioned, pirate´s cave, etc. This is what I was looking for in Bermuda; if I want a resort full inclusive I can always go to Cancun or so. Rooms are spacious and bath is provided with goodies. In general, it needs some improvements but may work for a few days and it´s reasonable according to the price you pay for it. Our neighbor´s air conditioning system was too noisy though.
“Nice stay”
A very pleasant stay in one the hotels suites.Hotel staff and management nothing too much trouble.A cental position with easy access to the islands many sites and beaches. The sunday brunch a must for all visitors
“Dirty, roach infested, poorly maintained hotel”
The room was very dirty and roach infested with mold in bathroom. The tub, sink toliet were cleaned each day but bathroom supplies were not always resupplied. Previously performed floor cleaning apparently consisted of pushing the dirt to the corners of the rooms. Floors were not cleaned during our 3 day stay. We checked out three days early and moved to a different hotel. The restaurant was a very solid 4 plus as the food was excellent and well presented. The wait staff was efficient and the pianist was extraordinary.
