Great location, stunning views. One if the few hotels in Bermuda right on the beach and The private beach is perfect -- clean, chairs and umbrellas, staffed with someone to bring you drinks or rent you snorkle equipment, etc. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

I don't usually write these reviews, but I have to for this resort. My wife and I decided to take a quick getaway before I went in for surgery. My mobility was limited but we decided to give it a go anyway. When we arrived, we couldn't have been more pleasantly suprised. The grounds looked beautiful and the staff greated us with welcoming smiles. Luckily the rooms were close at hand, ours being an ocean front a short distance away. The room was clean and more than adequate. Large balcony with lounge chairs, side chairs and a small table with an incredible view of the ocean.
The beach is a little hike down but well worth it. Clean and quite. Plenty of beach chairs and floats available for use. Cabanna bar as well!
Pool upstairs was also clean, heated and more than comfortable, also with elevated ocean views.
We enjoyed the meal plan which we felt was worth it (once again limited mobility). The hostess and wait staff were fantastic. They had us seated in a timely manner at the hours we had reserved. Food and presentation were very good. We couldn't even find anything to complain about.
Afterwards, there was always entertainment in the lounge which was very low key but just right. Mervin the bartender was a perfect gentleman and always had the right drink ready for my wife and I.
Once again, I can't say enough positve and will definately revisit!

It was a tremendous vacation, probably the best we have enjoyed. We both love Bermuda and decided to go there for our anniversary. Everyone was very friendly, the weather was beautiful, the food was great, and the hotel was beyond our expectations. We are planning to go back again.

We loved our stay. Even though we visited less than a week after a major hurricane hit, the staff had clearly worked hard to have things cleared up and back to normal. We were pleased that it was located so close to the Rail Trail and that there were pedal bikes to rent onsite. We wish the shuttle to the Dockyard had been running though as taxis were expensive and hard to find to return

"Excellent stay! Outstanding response to Hurricane!"
Outstanding beach allowed me to get in some snorkeling. The facilities were all very clean with an outstanding staff. Our room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. After Hurricane Fay hit, the staff really stepped up. We were provided a complimentary night stay since the airport was closed. The weather cleared up, so we were able to enjoy another beautiful day at Elbow Beach in Bermuda.

This is a beautiful modern hotel with many amenities and services. There is a large heated outdoor pool, where I was able to swim in mid-November. They have a cave right on the property and you can swim in it (more likely in summer, as the water is cold). Contrary to some reports, a basic Internet connection is free (e-mailing, surfing the web) and they charge only for more advanced things like conferencing, streaming, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They sell bus tokens and the bus stop is on the street outside the hotel grounds. Four bus lines serve that area, including going to the airport - if you travel light (for just a few days - we had small backpacks), you can avoid taking a taxi. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the airport. It's a 20 minute or less ride to St. George's and half an hour to Hamilton.

We stayed for 4 nights and found the hotel perfect. Not too fancy and we had a beach front room with a spectacular view. Staff was friendly and accommodating and we were an easy walk to the bus. Would definitely stay there again.

i think this is the best place i saw from which to see the island. it's old, quaint and has lots of interesting people who stay here. it's not fancy and i would have preferred to sleep with the windows open, but Rachel (caretaker) was lovely and staying in a place that embodies the history of the town is great. if you do not expect fancy you will hopefully be as delighted as the other characters who choose this place. also, ideally located for taking the buses and ferry to see the rest of the island and walking distance (15 minutes up and down hills) from one of the island's nicest protected beaches and one of the best places to snorkel.
