A very Happy Birthday!Posted Oct 5, 2013
We stayed 4 nights and loved the hotel and Bermuda! Eric greates us curbside and gave us a great tour of the resort before taking us to our room! The entire staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Both restaurants were delicious! Only thing that could have been better was the weather since it rained 2 days!

Very nice hotel, but way over priced!Posted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: It was very clean
Cons: Customer service
Location: Its not on the beach, but it is close to a lot of things to do.
First, we arrived at the hotel a few hours early and we were told are room was not ready. No big deal we are in paradise. We went to the bar to have a drink while we waited, $36.00 for two drinks! Really! Then we come to find the hotel only has about ten people staying there, why did we have to wait for a room?!! I would never go back to this resort. Don't let this turn you away from going to this island, it a great place to vacation outside of the resort everyone is extremely friendly!

Great hotel. Pleasant and courteous staffPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: I loved the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. I liked the cleanliness of the room. I especially loved the breathtaking view of the city and the sea
Location: You have to do the crystal caves, Royal Dockyard, go over to Hamilton, especially on Wednesday night. Take a bus ride around the island
As a family we had a great time. We definitely enjoyed taking the ferry across the bay to Hsmilton. The pool was wonderful

Terrible restaurant servicePosted Aug 14, 2013
I give the hotel 4 out of five stars, but unfortunately the restaurant, Beau Rivage, is not run by the hotel and the service I experienced on a number of visits between June and August was appallingly bad. Two waiters in particular seemed to be confused by the simplest of orders and consequently the wrong food would arrive. The kitchen also seemed very slow, prices were high, there was nothing casual on the menu, and they appear to be cutting costs by using cafeteria-grade cups and saucers and by not having enough salt and pepper shakers for each table (This was what i was told when I had to ask for pepper...given I was paying $40 for my entree, I kind of expected freshly ground pepper to arrive with the server, but no, and when I asked I was given some pepper and salt in what I can best describe as dollar store glass shakers). The room service menu was more varied so I would recommend ordering that instead.

Nice hotel, great location.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: The pool, the ferry into Hamilton. The restaurant Blu at the golf club.
Cons: Service items could be improved such as cleaning up dirty dishes, putting bath mats in the deep jacuzzi tubs.
Location: The location is excellent just a 5 minute ferry ride into hamilton.
The Newstead is a lovely hotel. The facilities are very pretty, the infinity pool overlooking the harbor is magnificent. The rooms are a nice size with refrigerators and cooking facilities.

Pros: Hotels Ferry over to Hamilton
Cons: Remember to book courtesy shuttle 1 week in advance. For taxis just call the hotel "The Newstead", "Hotel Belmont" is 2 miles away
Location: Cocoa beach beautiful, Dockyard well worth relaxing ferry over to, be sure to purchase Ferry/Bus 3-5 day ticket, well worth it
Nice staff, beautiful location and very relaxing. The ferry over to Hamilton is a gem and soooo easy. Ferry over, dinner then last bus back, how easy can it be !!

Quality of hotel declined in past 2 years.Posted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: 1-bedroom suite size and layout, provided desired suite available. Restaurant is excellent for dinner.
Cons: Very poor check-in experience, particularly after having booked three 1-bedroom suites. First 2 suites we were offered were completely unacceptable.
Location: Ideal location with convenient access and great views of Hamilton. Beach used by hotel, by arrangement with Coco Reef Hotel, is beautiful. Golf ok.
My wife and I stayed here 2 years ago and loved the accommodation (1 bedroom suite) and hotel overall. This time, to celebrate our anniversary, we brought our adult children and families. We booked 3 1-bedroom suites. The suite allocated to my wife and me (110) bore no resemblance to the quality of the suite we had previously or those which our other family members had been allocated. We complained and, reluctantly, were offered another inferior suite. We again refused to accept this suite and were finally (after I mentioned that I would be posting a review of our experience) given suite 722, which was the same layout as our previous visit, however the hardwood in the living room had been replaced with shabby carpeting and it didn't even have a coffee table. I believe the hotel is operating in receivership and it is apparent that the quality has deteriorated in the 2 years since we last visited. We would probably still return, provided we were assured of specific suites, however potential travellers should be aware that the quality of accommodation can vary significantly.

Amazing honeymoon!Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Class, beauty, privacy, excellent service
Cons: nothing to complain about!
Location: The location is on the water directly across the harbour from Hamilton.
The hotel was beautiful! The pool was great and the pool staff/bar were also very friendly and accomodating, not too much pressure to tip. Overall the hotel was very classy. I used the workout room and found that it was fine, not over the top great but had treadmills in good condition so I could get a few runs in. Don't count on running on the streets unless you have a death wish. The tennis courts (2) were also in excellent condition. The kitchenette in our suite was the best equipped I've ever seen. It had a dishwasher with soap provided, more utensils than I've ever seen before. We loved it. Our only comment was that it would be nice if they included salt and pepper packages in the room so we wouldn't have had to go to the restaurant to get them. We made breakfasts in our room pretty much every morning.
