Perfect location

Excellent hotel. A little worn in areas but maybe due to end of busy season. Central location with free shuttle to airport and beach.

Nice hotel, large rooms, infinity pool

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Private and smaller than many of the other places to stay but so close to everything.
Cons: Prices of the food and drink are expensive although much of the island is the same. Food was good but not 5 star.
Location: Right on bay, free shuttle to one of the private beaches the hotel has agreement with for quest use, yet you can walk there on your own as well.
We had a great stay, clean all around, beautiful rooms with kitchen, dining and living room area so you could eat in if you like. Hotel has free ferry to Hamilton plus 5 min or less walk to public ferry. Times are limited but nice amenity. Very quiet and peaceful hotel yet close to shopping, restaurants and beach. I loved that it was 1/4 mile walk to a "railroad track" which was great for walking, running, biking etc. This place is very family friendly although I think children might prefer to stay in a resort with more amenities catering to children. Spa on site that we did not use but the stay did come with greens fees which we did partake in - had to pay for cart and club rentals so not much saving there. Course was very pretty though.

Wonderful view

Pros: The wonderful view, beautiful ground and convenient location.
We stayed at a bedroom suite, it was beautiful and spacious; our whole family has a wonderful time. The airport shuttle, ferry shuttle and beach shuttle are great pluses. The infinity has the great view of Hamilton city. I can't stop telling my friends how wonderful this resort is. We definitely will stay there again if we ever travel to Bermuda again.

Very nice, elegant and comfortable hotel and staff

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located where it is quiet, yet a 5 minute ferry right to the heart of Hamilton which was really nice.
Cons: Adding door stops for the big balcony doors so one does not get injured by the occassional wind gusts slamming them.
Location: Hamilton is a 5 minute on-site ferry ride, shuttles are offered to nearby beaches and Spicelands oceanfront horseback riding is a 15 minute taxi.
Beautiful hotel, nicely appointed suite. Every attention to detail from the fixtures to the decor was first class. The room had a lovely view of the harbor, the ferry was always prompt. When the room was cleaned each day it was spotless. Really enjoyed being there. The staff was prompt and helpful and the only thing I could imagine that needed added would be door stops for the big balcony doors as the wind tended to slam them shut and they are BIG and heavy. Kept propping them with the chairs. It was easy to get around once we figure it all out in terms of getting buses, taxis. The onsite ferry couldn't have been more convenient. Loved the warm pool and even warmer jacuzzi overlooking the harbor and city view. The deal I got from Expedia made this more affordable for us as ordinairily we couldn't have considered affording this. Everything everyone says about Bermuda being expensive is true and rightfully so considering everything is shipped in, so the room deal left more for being able to eat at the onsite restaurant which was lovely.

Nice Hotel with excellent transport into the city.

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Easy access to Hamilton, stunning views and extremely friendly staff.
Cons: Extra staff at breakfast.
Location: Not many facilities nearby but Hotel provided transport into the city and if you asked to the beach also.
Very pleasant stay could have done with more staff at breakfast as service was a little slow but overall a very enjoyable experience.Would certainly recommend the Hotel and Bermuda to friends.

Great Location - Upscale Amenities

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The pool, staff, rooms, views, shuttle service to Hamilton and proximity to beaches are ideal. The golf course is a little short, but offers challenge
Cons: The pool area felt slightly understaffed at times and the resort would have benefited from opening the pool bar as people were there every day.
Location: Ideal. Everything you're looking to do in Bermuda is in striking distance.
The Newstead hotel staff was responsive and courteous, but not overbearing and presumptive. Room's were serviced twice a day and the views from the private balconies are beautiful and serene. The location of Belmont Hills golf course and Blu restaurant actually is a 5-minute shuttle ride from the Newstead, so resort options for dining close to he grounds are slightly limited. This stated, there are plenty of options only a quick ride from the resort and grocery markets are also within a mile or less. Bermuda is expensive, but all things considered you will not be disappointed with all that this resort has to offer.

Nice getaway.

Ideal resort for a short stay. We were looking for a quick 3 day vacation to tie us over until the warmer weather finally arrives in Toronto. We wanted a resort within North America where we wouldn't have to spend a large part the day traveling to and from Toronto...Bermuda fit the bill since we were able to get direct flights. We spent 2 of the 3 days on the golf course. The staff are very friendly and will accommodate you whenever possible. My only negative is some of the front desk staff move at their own pace...they don't seem to be in a hurry. We took advantage of their shuttle service which saved us a few dollars on taxi fares (except for the tips we gave to our friendly shuttle drivers). The shuttle service also includes a ride to and from the airport. At the end of the day, I would definitely recommend this resort.
