Friendly Boutique Hotel

Posted Apr 19, 2014
The Rosedon Hotel was originally a grand private home, and has been tastefully updated and expanded to serve as a hotel. We loved the daily breakfast and afternoon tea, and the Tuesday night rum swizzle party. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown Hamilton, and used the ferry and public bus service to get around the island. The free shuttle to Elbow Beach was a plus.

Friendly service -- like an English country hotel

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of staff
Cons: Decor and furnishings in bedrooms could be updated
The best location in Bermuda! The Rosedon is within walking distance of downtown Hamilton, the ferry docks, and buses so there is easy access to everywhere on the island. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to assist in providing information or making arrangements. The room we were in was a little tired-looking but large and comfortable. The main house is beautiful with lots of amenities such as casual afternoon tea and an honour bar and a front terrace made for reading and relaxing. I would definitely go back!

Bermuda vacation anchored at Rosedon Hotel

Posted Mar 8, 2014
Pros: Old world charm. Very clean. Staff most helpful and knowledgeable. Daily afternoon "Tea" was a hi-lite. Great breakfasts!
Location: Fairy and bus terminals convenient. Fort Hamilton is a good walk away. Historic downtown Hamilton very easy to find your way around.
Absolute comfort, class, excellence of service. My next trip to Bermuda will include a room at the Rosedon Hotel. Every detail has been considered and tended to. Breakfast served daily wherever in the Hotel you care to eat, we chose the patio outside our room. Sort walk into Hamilton for transportation hook ups to buses & fairy boat system. Many excellent restaurants, pubs and shops. The people are charming and friendly. Can't wait to return!

Lovely Hotel

Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Love the breakfast. Delicious and so special to be able to choose where we can eat.
Cons: nothing needs to change
Location: good dinning within walking distance, good shopping within walking distance, public transportation is easy to use with the bus and ferries.
We just came back from our sixth visit to Bermuda and our second stay at the Rosedon. We were delighted to be welcomed back with a bottle of champagne in our room. It is those personal touches that make a stay at the Rosedon so special. We truly feel welcomed and special; just what one wants to feel on holiday. Whether we were enjoying a delicious breakfast on the porch or getting help arranging activities we always felt well attended to. We will be back. Bermuda of course was as lovely as ever.

Pros: Staff and service
Location: in Hamilton with slight view of the harbor. Easy walk to shops and restaurants
Best place to stay on the island. Across street from Fairmont Princess and within easy walking distance to everything in Hamilton. Free shuttle to Elbow Beach. Full breakfast delivered to your room each morning and high tea every afternoon. Beautiful 1906 home and grounds! Incredible staff and service. Good sized rooms and nicely appointed. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very old but very comfortable and welcoming. It is based very close to down town which was nice but it is not on the water front.

Bermudian Charm

Posted Jan 22, 2014
Pros: This is a charming and historic building that is clean and modern with beautiful grounds, a hospitable staff, and every convenience.
Cons: Better Wi-Fi, although it worked most of the time. At night it seemed to be a weaker signal, but really - you're in Bermuda - why go online? :)
Location: Easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Hamilton, the ferry, the water.
Extremely friendly staff; great location and easy walking to shops; spotlessly clean.

Typical old style Bermuda hotel.

Posted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: Attendance to guest.
Cons: It's as good as it can get.
Location: Close to center of town, ferry landing & bus station.
The staff all make customers feel like family. They go out of their way you make your stay memorable. Waking up to singing birds and breakfast on the porch, couldn't be better. What a way to start your day. High tea in the afternoon is a bonus.

Hotel for lovers

Posted Jan 3, 2014
Sadly, I was here alone. I still enjoyed it, especially the breakfasts, but it is definitely a place for lovers. Short walk to downtown Hamilton. Make sure you eat at Muse a short walk away. Say hello to the bartender, Jonathon - a great guy.
