See all #### TripAdvisor ReviewsThe elegant Royal Palms Hotel & Restaurant, situated on a tree-lined lane near Hamilton, offers the best of Bermudian hospitality. Your hosts are Richard Smith and Susan Weare, the brother-and-sister team who own and manage the estate. They graciously welcome you to be their guest in one of two pink, turn-of-the-century manor houses or in the estate's quaint, white-roofed cottages. All are nestled in luxuriant, tranquil gardens where you may enjoy the sun from lawn chairs or on the terrace beside a secluded pool. You may wish to relax or chat with other guests on the veranda or in the intimate restaurant lounge. Ascots, one of the Island's finest restaurants, serves lunch and dinner in antique-appointed dining rooms or outdoors where tree frogs serenade at night. Easy walk to Hamilton's shops - entertainment and restaurants.

“Great hotel in Bermuda”
The Royal Palms Hotel is a lovely old bermudian house with delightful gardens within easy walking distance of Hamilton. The rooms are beautifully decorated & the breakfast was excellent. We dined in their own restaurant "ascots" one evening. Although on the pricey sideit was a memorable experience with knowledgable staff. The hotel is great for couples & business people & although it has a small pool we thought it would not be suitable for children or teenagers. we will probably stay there again when next in Bermuda.
“Wonderful Hotel”
Echoing many other reviews on the Royal Palms, this is a wonderful hotel with terrific staff, a great dining room and easy access to Hamilton, the Ferry, and thus the rest of Bermuda. Have stayed in oceanfront resorts in past stays and decided to try an in town hotel. Don't regret that that decision. We will be coming back to the Royal Palms.
“Excellent traditional style hotel with all mod cons”
Royal Palms Hotel is a delightful hotel built about 100 years ago in traditional Bermudian style. However the interior has been very tastefully modernised with the sort of facilities you would expect from a four star hotel. The rooms were very spacious, and comfortable and the continental breakfast was more than adequate and served in their conservatory. The Hotel sits in its own immaculately maintained gardens, and there is also a very pleasant small pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In summary this hotel is a real gem.
“Great hotel with fantastic character”
Excelent location in Hamilton. I was able to walk to most of the places I needed to visit in Hamilton. The staff was extremely helpful with advice on places to go, where to rent a scooter, and what to go and see while I was there. The room was much nicer then I was expecting and the setting was perfect. Very relaxing. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
“FANTASTIC First Bermuda Experience!”
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Their recommendations of things to do were always on point. The two ladies working the front desk went above and beyond. Would definitely go back.
“I had a great time at Royal Palm Hotel”
The female manager who checked us in was extremely pleasant, friendly, and nice. Our flight was delayed, and we arrived there 6 hours later than our expected arrival. We were so hungry and ate at the Ascots Restaurant in the hotel. The bread was very delicious, and I had a cold soup and loved it! My boyfriend had an entree with some meat and steamed veggies, which he said were extremely tasty. The hotel staff from a guy preparing continental breakfast, a maid, a maintenance man, etc. are all very friendly and they really care for your well-being and having a good time. They were all well-mannered and pleasant. The hotel is a boutique hotel and it almost gives you an atmosphere of Bed and Breakfast but with much privacy. The front desk lady was very helpful when we inquired about sightseeing in Bermuda. She gave us a map, a ferry boat schedule, etc. and called a taxi for us so that we could make it to the Ferry Terminal and make a 10 o'clock boat. We had less than 10 minutes and made it! At this hotel like anywhere else in Bermuda, everyone greets saying "Good morning," "Good afternoon," etc. all the time, and I found this very nice and pleasant. You truly feel you are welcomed and you mean a lot to them. The manager who checked in called a taxi for us when we had to leave for the airport, and she saw us off at the door with a smile as if she was saying "good bye" to her friend or a relative, which made me feel emotional. She made me want to go back to Bermuda.
“Perfect hotel with Bermudian charm”
I really enjoyed staying in the hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and would always go an extra mile to satisfy any request. I also liked the style in the hotel - you could really feel that you live in a Bermudian house.
“Very impressed”
The hotel management was excellent from the host, office, cleaning folks, maintenance man. If there was a lightbulb out, it was changed immediately. Needed directions or referrals for restaurants, everyone helped. It rained a bit and umbrellas were offered. Location was near Hamilton (not too close)so we were able to explore the area without the crowds on foot. Continental breakfast was appreciated daily. Only thing missing was a refrigerator. Would definitely go back.
“Royal Palms Hotel August 2010”
The hotel is beautifully decorated with quality furnishing. The rooms are large and also well decorated. The flat panel tv had a great picture. Free DVD rentals. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts offer a huge variety, including self made waffles, ham, eggs, a variety of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, 4 kinds of juice, sconces and much more. There's a great restaurant in the hotel. The only negative is that there's no easy beach access. There is a pool, but you have to take a cab or scooter to the beach. Elbow Beach's public is the closest. You can take hotel towels to the beach, but you'll have to rent chairs and umbrella there, but the umbrella quality isn't so great and they're too small for two. Anyway, the hotel was very good and we would definitely recommend it.
“A+”
wonderfully maintained, excellent service, a solid value!
