Extremely friendly and very accommodating staff, wonderful rooms, excellent dining facilities and comfortable beach - and if you don't like it, Horseshoe Bay is just a few steps away. Overall, a top-notch experience.

Beautiful Resort

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Wonderful staff, everything you desire is all right there. Jet skiing, snorkeling, diving, paddle board, restaurants! Free shuttles, and Ferry. My Adult children loved the breakfast everyday...buffet. The most beautiful beaches...steps away. Horseshoe bay next door and continue walking and more unique private beaches, also Jobson Cove. All within a 15-30 minute walk. My kids did some cliff jumping, snorkeling, jet skiing. The Waterlot Inn restaurant was excellent and great atmosphere. We went to Elbow beach for the day, nice Mickey's is worth the trip. I wish we had a direct flight. Next time. Expensive....but priceless memories that we will always remember!

Great hotel, great vacation. We will be back.

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Best feature is the people. Very friendly and helpful. The beach was clean and the water was crystal clear. The kids loved the indoor pool.
Cons: Being picky I think the rooms need to be refreshed.
Location: Golf, hiking along the beach from the private beach to Warwick. A lot if fun. Best place to eat is in Hamilton, Portofino's. Snorkeling.
We just got back home and wished we had more time at the Fairmont. We stayed on the Gold Floor and it was worth every penny. Staff was wonderful, especially Rolly. Made our stay very comfortable and felt like we were amongst friends. Golf was fun and challenging plus we were done in about 2 hours which was before the rest of the family got up. Also need to mention the health club. Very clean, the machines were well kept and never crowded. We went to the indoor pool every night after dinner. Very relaxing.

Good experience

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Large rooms; great staff
Cons: Ocean Club is a little tired
Location: Hotel is self-contained; though not far from Hamilton. Shuttle to ferry, but limited schedule.
Very enjoyable; epitomizes the civility of Bermuda

Overpriced mediocre hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Rooms are very loud. We could hear man snoring next door. Air conditioning also louder than expected. It was making strange noise that woke us up at 4:15am. Room was not clean. Carpet was dirty and room had an overall moldy smell. No dresser in room. We had to live out of our suitcases. Bathrooms have not been updated in years. Staff is rude and abrupt. They need a lesson in customer service. They don't smile much. Concierge was snippy when approached. Hotel is not really beachfront. You have to take a shuttle to beach. Beach is very small and overcrowded. Good luck finding a chair on a busy day. Bathroom at beach was out of order for days. Had to go to restaurant affiliated with beach to go to the bathroom. Meals are overpriced. Lunch at beach for 1 adult and 2 kids was 64$. You have to pay a fee to use exercise equipment. Overall this hotel is ridiculously overpriced and very mediocre. This is not luxury service. We were unhappy and left early.

Classy expensive hotel

Everyone at the Fairmont was exceptionally nice and helpful. Would like to see complimentary coffee for breakfast as well as access to the fitness area. Other than those two requests, looking forward to our next trip.

Loved the beach.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff!!
Cons: The entire place looked a little tired and old. Definately time to redecorate!
Location: Beautiful beaches. Golf course amazing. Shopping good. Many things to do for all ages.
Had a wonderful time with my daughter. Loved the people. Hotel nice but needed updated and redecorated. The beach was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was amazing. We would stay at the Fairmount, South Hampton again.

WILL NOT RETURN

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Quality of service and pricing
Location: Hotel was isolated and travel by taxing was critical to go anywhere
1. Staff was very "bothered" by any questions specific to our needs. 2. AC was not working correctly. 3. Pricing of services was unreasonable. Extra money to use fitness center; extra money to use lockers. 4. Modest breakfast of eggs benedict for two cost $62. Small glass of chardonnet cost $20. 5. bugs at the beach; bugs at the pool. It cost me an extra $432 through expedia to get home on Tuesday. For a day and a half, I paid $3700 and was miserable. 6. This is how we spent our 25th wedding anniversary! Bob Boudreau

Excellent for many Activities

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Had an enjoyable time at the Fairmont, easy transportation to Hamilton via ferry, the beach, and golf course. Plenty of places within walking distance and the grounds had paths with island vegetation and wildlife. There were plenty of Restuarants on the property along with entertainment and comfortable lounges.
