Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: The location and view from our room.
Location: Location was very good. Far from the city. Hotel offers shuttle to where buses can be taken to different areas like the beach which was 5 minutes aw
From the time we landed and checked in our Hotel our experience was great. The Hotel was beautiful, the Staff very friendly, Restaurants were excellent. A little expensive but it was a Vacation so we enjoyed it very much. Would recommend to all our friends.

Great time despite the weather

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: the staff
Location: We had an enjoyable time exploring the Royal Dockyards even with 60km winds and rain.
Everyone is so friendly and accommodating at this hotel and in Bermuda in general. The staff genuinely appear to enjoy working there. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate well for our little getaway but we still managed to have a relaxing fun time.

Classic Bermuda charm with superb service and staf

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: The location, the charm, the Jasmine lounge, but most importantly the staff!
Cons: Check to make sure things are working in the room. The hotel room phone did not work and we relied on our cell phone for a wake up call.
Location: Visit the Naval Dockyards, guided walking tour of St. George's, and restaurants like Waterlot, Ascots, and come back to hotel for drinks at Jasmine
My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel recently on a business trip. We had a wonderful time, despite the weather! The hotel was perfect!!! AND the staff was even better! I have never been to a hotel before with such great service. We stayed on the 6th floor (the Gold Floor)! We were there only 5 days and by the second day, the staff knew us by name and treated us like royalty! Will definitely return to that hotel in the future! A shout out to Rolly (the server on the gold floor) and Curleen (one of the hotel staff at the concierge desk)!! Those are just two the names I remember.............EVERYONE was spectacular!!!!

Thanksgiving in Paradise

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: The schedule for the ferry to Hamilton is limited. We found it easier to take a cab.
Location: Visited Hamilton, but was there to enjoy the place and not run around.
My wife & I are a 60ish couple who wanted to escape the gray & cold of a New England winter and stay at a beautiful resort. We succeeded by going to the Southampton Princess. It's on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Our room faced the ocean and every morning we saw the sun rise over palm trees. We sipped blue rum drinks next to the private beach. Took a long walk along Horseshoe Bay Beach. The temperature was around 70 each day. The place caters to Americans and was well decorated for the holiday. Enjoyed an excellent Thanksgiving dinner at the Waterlot Inn. The staff was always pleasant & very helpful. One warning: not every restaurant is open at this time of year so choices are limited, but we made it work. We live in the snow belt and can't wait to go back.

You Won't Regret Staying Here

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Location, Food, Beach, Pool/Hot Tub
Cons: There were some moldy spots in the bathroom that were overlooked by the cleaning staff.
The location was very convenient for those utilizing the public bus system. There are bus stops on both sides of the property. The food was fabulous, though pricy like the rest of the island. The best meals we had were at the resort! Most of the staff was great, but we encountered two rude employees during our stay. The room was nice, but there were a couple moldy areas in the bathroom. The beach at the resort was beautiful! There is a complementary ferry for transport to their sister property downtown. When we go back to Bermuda, we plan to stay at this resort.

Peaceful place with everything you need

Hotel was gorgeous and staff were super nice. Good food at comparable rates to other places on the island. Within walking distance of beaches and easy access to transportation. Will stay here again!

5 Night stay at an excellent Bermuda Hotel

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Everything. Shuttle bus is provided to facilities on either side of the island from the hotel.
Cons: Nothing, in my view.
Location: Golf, beaches, walking, tennis all available and plenty of hotel related restaurants. Bus and hotel ferry service available to town.
The Southampton Princess is a fine luxury hotel which in my view is without flaws. The facility and the staff are first rate. Bus service to and from any part of the Island is available and the Hotel ferry to Hamilton is an adventure and a plus. The Golf course, while only a par three is excellent, challenging and in fine shape. The only drawback for my taste is location. Wonderful beaches, walks and restaurants but I would rather be in Hamilton.
