Everything excellent. The room was very comfortable although it was very hot in the room. Upon asking we were told that due to the season the option was to open the window which is not our preference. The coffee maker in the room was not easy to use so we couldn't use it.

Well kept, so clean, very beautiful. Lots of things to do within the hotel, around the hotel there is even more. Amazing staff, so quick to respond and correct any issues. They even had adapters for us to use for our electronics. They give you water every day, and great Nespresso every day. We will stay here again when we come back to Bern. Cheers.

Nice room but the air conditioning did not work well at all. On the lowest temperature and highest fan the room stayed too hot so we had bad sleep there

Excellent location
The hotel is in an excellent, central location. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well equipped. The bed was a little firm for a side sleeper. The roof top bar was cool with wonderful views over the city. We would recommend this hotel.

Excellent staff
The staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly. Also, his working efficiency was remarkable. Worth a compliment here. The hotel is nice and provide a no. of nice amenities. One problem of the room was that we found that the door of the bathroom cannot be closed entirely. And the bathing area was just with a blurred glass. So this a bit inconvenient and awkward if I stayed with a friend that that is not that close. Hope the hotel can come up with some solution is increase the privacy to the bathroom.

The front desk are very helpful and they look happy to help . I very like the location . It’s in old town and walkable to the high lights of Bern . It’s walkable to the good shops . Also , the hotel rooftop have a very nice view of Bern . The room is spacious and comfortable and breakfast is very good

We were met with the warmest of welcomes when we arrived. We had booked a deluxe room and it was spacious and comfortable. We arrived in the evening and had drinks up on the rooftop terrace which was lovely. The hotel was in easy walking distance to all we wanted to see and visit in Bern. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Upscale hotel in a great location
The hotel is located approximately 600 m from the main station (5 min walk). Don’t be put off by “Best Western” brand; this is a thoroughly European upscale hotel in a beautiful historic building just a short walk from the main Clock Tower, the Cathedral, and sights of the Alstadt. Our visit coincided with a heat wave, with temperatures in Bern topping 90F. The air conditioning worked well and we were very comfortable during our two night stay. Our only complaint about our room was the safe was not working. The top floor of the hotel has a rooftop bar which was very lively with delicious drinks and excellent service from the bartenders. This hotel is a very good choice for travelers to Bern and nearby destinations including Interlaken.

All was good. The only downside would be there is not great privacy for the bathroom/shower. There are only 2 sliding doors, which do not close the doorway completely. There is about a 2 foot gap on one end. And about a 1” gap in between the sliding doors. So not great privacy. And the glass sliding door’s between are fogged up on purpose for “privacy” yet you can still see right through them.

Hotel was spotless and staff were friendly and efficient. The downside was the room was very tight and the bathroom can only be described as strange. The toilet was in the shower and the whole bathroom floor was contiguous and not pitched correctly. As a result, even the shortest shower caused a flood throughout. Lack of privacy too as the shower doors were translucent..

Our room was clean and modern but it was like a maze to get to it. Up the elevator, out the back of the hotel to another building, up stairs, down stairs, and up more stairs. There were no fire sprinklers, and I wondered how I would get out of there if there were a fire. In the morning there was no hot water even after letting the water run 10 minutes. The front desk person said the hotel was aware of the problem, and it’s too bad it’s that way. The hotel is convenient to old town, restaurants and grocery stores. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
