“In any language, they were accommodating”

We stayed in Biel while visiting Berne and the surrounding area. We found the hotel to be clean and well run. The staff, especially the front desk staff, were amazing. They usually spoke at least 4 languages, German, English, and French,and Swiss German. The staff responded to our questions, and helped us with information by going above and beyond our expectations. We would recommend this hotel to other travelers. The train station is in walking distance, the town square and the historic old town are both in walking distance. We had a delightful New Year's Eve here.

“Great place to stay”

This was a good hotel. I'd stay there again. We (Americans) were able to get from the train station (gare) to the hotel via the bus system. The bus comes within a block of the hotel, which is an easy bag drag. Nice clean room, and our room had a balcony. The staff was great and helpful, too. The only down thing was the shower head clamp would not stay up. So, the shower head was about my waist, and when I needed it higher than that, I had to hold it. Other than that, this is just the type of hotel my wife and I look for when we are traveling. A nice, clean place to stay with comfortable beds and a water pot so we can make coffee or tea.

“Hidden charges, no smoking”

There are charges per day for using the hotel parking, though this was not stated to us when we checked in. Room service also comes with a surcharge on top of the price listed in the room service menu. We booked a smoking room but were informed at check-in that it is against the law to smoke in hotel rooms in Switzerland, hence the low rating for "Comfort of your room".
