The hotel was very charming and set in a stunningly beautiful location. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the rooms were comfortable. There was so much to do in the area that in four days we had still not done everything! We have two boys who also really enjoyed the playground right outside the hotel. There were a few minor downsides to be aware of...the location is awkward to access with a lot of luggage and no car - it's up a gondola which is a ten minute walk up hill from the main train station to mid-mountain. We were a family of 4 travelling by train with quite a bit of luggage so that was a bit inconvenient, and there were no lifts in the hotel, so up quite a few stairs if your room is on the second floor. Our room did not have a fan or air conditioning so it became very warm on the hot and muggy days. Also, the bathroom we had for our family room was down the hall. It was private but not ensuite. Having said all that, the upsides definitely outweighed any downsides, and I would still highly recommend the hotel as we really enjoyed our stay. But it is worth being aware of some of these idiosyncrasies ahead of time when booking.
