“I would definitely come back”

This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. We had a nice clean room with a mountainside view, we were smack dab in the middle of the city so shopping, restaurants and bars were right out the front door. The price was nice and the hotel overrall was great. A bus stopped right in front of the hotel to take us to the slopes for skiing/snowboarding. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The rooms were a nice size and the beds were really comfortable. I thought it was really cute the way the room had a small loft. There were two beds on the bottom floor and up a wooden ladder to a small loft were two more beds. I will say though that if you're looking for peace and quite this might not be the place for you. Since its right in the middle of the city the traffic outside can be a bit loud and the rooms seemed to have pretty thin walls. But, if you just need a place to lay your head and want to have a good time with friends this the Chalet Hotel Oberland was perfect!

“Pretty good”

Everthing about the hotel was good, we have stayed in better, (double/ king size beds) but it was good all the same!

“ideal location for bernese oberland area”

Spent three nights and enjoyed a first class breakfast buffet each morning. Being close to Interlaken West station makes its an ideal base for train travel. The Tuesday evening entertainment with two genuine Swiss musicians added extra value to the stay and our stay in Interlaken.

“Nice hotel for families”

We had an excellent short stay. Our large family felt welcome from our arrival, through to check out. We often travel for business and leisure so place great value on a good hotel. Your staff were exceptional, both on arrival, and for checkout, offering helpful suggestions for shopping and tourism. Also, the buffet fruhstucke was fresh, healthy, and well presented. The service team made us feel welcome as well. Thanks for a great stay - we hope to see you again!

“Comfortable and central”

Centrally located. Bus pass to local area provided. Wi-fi costs extra ... hmmm! Good variety for breakfast (included) suiting Australian tastes (cereal, juice, cooked "English") as well as more continental tastes (eg cold meats, cheeses, variety of breads). Room was very clean, warm, comfortable. Would stay again (50-something couple).

“Good location”

Had two rooms in the extension at the back of the hotel - rooms (and bathrooms) in this newer part of the hotel are large although simply furnished. Arrived by car - the small hotel car park was full and the car had to be left in a nearby public car park (free after 6pm). Hotel is in a great location in the middle of Interlaken. Plenty of adequate restaurants nearby. Hotel is used by coach tour groups, so the restaurant gets busy when the groups have breakfast before their scheduled departure. Overall the hotel was pleasant enough, but I expected a bit better at the price.

“Solid if unspectacular”

This hotel was a fairly standard European hotel. Relatively small room (although bigger than other places I've stayed in Europe) with twin beds and basic amenities. The location is great, right in the center of Interlaken, with easy access to the train station, restaurants, bars, and shopping. If you drive, which I did, the parking lot is small and seems like it could run out of space, but is free and close by. Overall, if you don't plan on spending much time in your room this hotel should be a good choice.

“Perfect place to stay”

I only stayed one night in Interlaken (unfortunately). The location of the hotel was ideal. The room was VERY clean, spacious and the bed very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Chalet Hotel Oberland is located in the downtiown of interlaken and is very near to 2 trail stations east and west.
