“Cozy and comfortable”
Spinne is a charmer. The staff is nice and friendly, the dining room views are to die for and the spa is a great place to relax. Plus, this small hotel seems to be the center of the village night life with the disco-bar in the cellar. Strangely enough, it does not cause enough noise to bother those desiring a quite night's sleep. The room was large and comfortable, with plenty of storage space. Though not brand new, everything was clean and working properly. A fireplace with couches and chairs downstairs felt as a comfortable living room. It was great to sit there after a long day of skiing and sip a hot chocolate or a coffee with something stronger in it. The only negative seemed to be cost-cutting on seemingly inexpensive things--public computer and internet were from the early 90s, the TV in the room from the same era as well. But they did offer wi-fi and, after all, who goes to Grindelwald to watch TV? I've seen another hotel in Grindelwald. This one was larger and offered more daily events, but I didn't feel that it had the cozy charm of Spinne.
