“A wonderful short break of 4 days”

A wonderful hotel: service at reception and in the dining room and bars was excellent. The food was very good. The rooms are enormous, and very comfortable. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but none the worse for that. It's what one wants on a skiing holiday. The spa is outstanding: the swimming pool and other features are top-class. The view from the hotel is beautiful and the pool has big glass windows allowing one to gaze at the mountains whilst relaxing in the water.

“Even better than what I expected!”

This hotel is not only charming but the staff is so accomodating and very CLEAN! The photos don't do it justice. We went during Feb ski season and it's a winter wonderland! There is a convenient bus to the ski mountain that runs daily. They were very accomodating to drive us into town if we missed the bus in the evening. ( it's a 5 minute ride) It is up high on the mountain and has the most extraordinary view of the valley and the mountains. The road does get full of snow, but to the local drivers, they don't seem to be slowed down by it at all.The restaurant is great and the breakfast buffet is hearty and plentiful. We have 2 children and it's very family friendly. The spa is the icing on the cake! Great pool, jacquzzi, steam room and anything you would want to ask for in a spa. I would definitely return to this hotel and I usually don't say that about most of my vacations. I generally end a vacation selecting the next place I would like to stay at. I was not envious of anyone else's hotel choice on this one!

“Not impressed”

We have been going to the same hotel for the past three years and we do believe the standards have dropped with the influx of day tourists.There are coaches full of different tourists coming almost everyday during the Summer period which can make the place a bit loud and can affect the sense of privacy and peace you would expect in such a place by the mountains.There are still good things about the place such as its position with all rooms overlooking the beautiful valley ,although the rooms despite of being clean and spacious have not been upgraded for a long time and have remained a litle pricy.
