The view was nice from the room! Very clean and spacious. Amenities eg.toothbrush/kettle not provided but upon request they will provide. Definitely recommend! Very near to grindelwald station too.

Great access to the slopes. Across the road from one set of lifts and a short bus ride to another. Bus stops outside hotel and drops you at the ski lift terminal. It’s easy. Gorgeous town and very friendly people. Service at Sun Star was very friendly and helpful.

Nice location and view. Rooms not cleaned properly, plug in air freshener used to mask unpleasant smell. Check in staff very helpful and friendly. Bar staff flapping and flustered even when it wasn’t that busy.

Loved the hotel lobby with the bar with comfy chairs by the wood fireplace. The room was clean, modern bathroom, comfy bed and balcony facing rhe mountains. Friendly staff, central to the trains, shopping , eating and surrounded by great mountain views.

Slice of Heaven! Sunstar goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. From the warm welcome and helpful staff, every detail was thought out. The room was clean, quiet and cozy. Breakfast buffet was very plentiful with many choices. Sunstar is in a class of their own. We will be back and stay longer.

LOVED the spa. Front desk staff weren't very knowledgeable/helpful. I got a parking ticket from parking in the lot right next to the hotel. It was 140 Swiss Francs, that kind of soured the experience. Hotel staff did not ask me if I had a vehicle upon check in. Learned the hard way. Then I asked the staff how I can pay the ticket, and they had no idea since I don't have a Swiss bank account. They weren't much help. Figured it out on my own... the hard way once again. My shower was clogged during the entire stay. I told the front desk 2 hours after checking in. It was never fixed. I stayed for 4 nights. Disappointing. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Views were insane! Spa was lovely.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel and cannot wait to be return in the future. As a solo traveller, I felt safe. The amenities which included a pool, spa available to all guests, and breakfast buffet were the highlights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The bartender named Fabian was attentive and did a great job managing guests on his own. The views from the hotel are beautiful.

Nice hotel with beautiful balcony views. Amazing breakfast dining hall with large deck with Mountain views. Free breakfast is added bonus with great selection of pastries, eggs, beans, sausage links, fruit. One let down was there was no AC in the rooms but they had a small fan that helped out. Also forget about doing the laundry service as hard to reserve and very expensive. Overall would go back again next time in Grindelwald.

Gorgeous property in an unbelievable setting. The lobby is beautiful, and what stood out the most to us was Kim at the check in. She was absolutely delightful. Katharina at the check out was also fantastic. We had 2 wonderful massages while at the hotel as well. Steps to the gondola to Mount First and the most spectacular views we’ve ever seen right from every angle of the property. We hope to return some day!

The hotel has excellent location that it is opposite to the First cable station, and has bus stop in front which connects you to the train station. The hotel however has bad management of laundry service and has only one washing machine. The staff either neglect our request or saying nothing she can help. So disappointing on this.
