Low season so some facilities not open

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Price. Location in Zweisimmen.
Cons: Heating! Having the hot tubs available in low season.
Location: Close to Gstaad's skiing area.
Very basic hotel, but with an amazing array of shower options! Was very cold at first - the only radiator seemed to be in the bathroom or via one vent in the adjoining wall. Right on the main road by a petrol station, but not noisy and the bed was comfortable. It would be fab in summer. And lots of bird life in the pretty back garden by the river.

More like a Motel 6

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: Needs curtains and staff at front desk... waited for 30 mins before anyone showed up so we could check in.
Location: Gstaad Country Nights
Stayed for one night only, as we only needed somewhere to stay after Gstaad Country Nights. First off, it was expensive for a "road side motel". This is the furthest from a "Resort Hotel" I have ever seen, so the hotel name is misleading to say the least. It's more like a Motel 6. There were no curtains. Kinda awkward when your window overlooks the common area. Small bathroom. Breakfast was not satisfactory. Couple of croissants and some fruit. We had to go to a restaurant in town (Gstaad) to get a proper meal. PS: I know Switzerland is expensive, but this was stupid expensive!
