"Perfect hotel for a group at the end of the Metro"
Economical hotel(which looks like it was apartments beforehand) that is plenty specious and provides excellent privacy when traveling with a group, but staying within the same room. We stayed in the Suite and had two completely separate rooms on either side of the living space with full baths in each.
Even better, this location is a 3 minute drive from the Shady Grove Metro station. That spot is the first/last stop on the Metro and is about a 30 minute commute to the Metro Center. Another perk is that there is parking there as well.
No complaints about the hotel at all. The free breakfast was also pretty nice. Lots of choices.

My family sees a doctor in D.C. every four months and we always stay at this hotel. Very comfortable with friendly staff and convenient location right off 270 and at the end of the Metro line.
Nice continental breakfast.

Searching for a hotel to stay at somewhat close to the C&O Canal and DC, we found the Quality Suites. We stayed two nights. Our rooms opened to the outside which we found very convenient. We had a nice size bedroom with a king size bed, a TV, a decent size closet for a hotel, the bathroom vanity was outside the tub and toilet area. A bonus was that our room had a livingroom/kitchenette with another TV. There was a set of double doors to close between the two rooms. It was a great setup.
