Nice hotel for the pricePosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: The staff was very, very friendly and very responsive. Plus the price was great for the area. We were very close to where we needed to be.
Cons: The room needs a bit of freshening. It was dark.
Location: The hotel is 30 minutes from Washington DC. We were attending a wedding in Rockville, so the location was perfect for us. It was quick to Hwy 270.
The Crown Plaza DC was not the same caliber as some Crown Plaza's that I've been in, but it was a great price and the staff was very nice. The room was a good size, which was a plus since there were 3 of us staying in it. The bathroom was reasonably new and clean. The only downside was it was a bit dark and dreary, versus a new fresh hotel room. The courtyard area in the hotel was nice and well lit, with nice places for sitting. I wish they'd started serving liquor a bit earlier as we wanted a glass of wine before the wedding we were attending. The food selection was also quite limited, but didn't matter since we did not eat there.

Off the beaten if you're vacationingPosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: They did have a nice size exercise room & equipment
Cons: Restaurant staff - more observant of their patrons & frequency
Location: Nothing was within walking distance. It is located in a dark area & when normal business workday is done, deserted.
The hotel itself is located in a Business complex area & hard to find. We requested months ago a room with a king size bed & asked for an early check in. We arrived approximately 11:30am & they said they did not have any King size available until later that day. The hotel was empty! We hardly saw any people anywhere.....the entire 5 days stay. Our room smelled like mold & musty. I informed the front desk & they said they would look at while we were out. We returned to the room late & still smelled awful. Asked again the next morning. They apologized & said they could move us or look at resolving the issue immediately. They gave the bathroom a thorough cleaning & replaced the shower curtain (which I believe was the issue). The smell was gone! The food service at the restaurant was lacking. Every meal we ate at the hotel restaurant (3 breakfast & 1 dinner) the staff always seemed to disappear. Which I found annoying when you wanted a refill of a beverage or your check.....

In DC but not in bad center of cityPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Wasn't in the direct city not around the kind of people in the city of DC. DC has poor, poor, poor service and personalities.
Cons: Free coffee. Free fruit. Free something. People at front counter. Pick up phones when calling. Thy never picked up. No double doors on bathroom.Fridge
Location: Very good
The hotel looks just like the pictures. I felt overwhelmed by how it looked. I got comfortAble fast. Very nice looking the amenities were excellent. EXCEPT why ate they charging for coffee. Why Are they charging for apples. No snacks for free :(. I'd recommend this place overwhelmingly EVER before any hotel in the immediate city of DC. staff ok. We relied on shuttle for lots and it was helpful

Great hotel for everyonePosted Aug 16, 2013
Location: Bit far away from everything but this is supplemented by the free bus service into town or the Metro station
Nice hotel with a complimentary bus service to get into the local town and Metro station. Although the room I booked via Expedia was not available the receptionist did their best to accommodate my needs. From the outside the hotel looks a bit plain but on entry you can see the beauty and style.

Good for BusinessPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel surrounded by office parks, obviously meant for business travelers. Hotel is in perfect condition and staff is very helpful. No other food or other services within walking distance, but staff provided lots of options for food delivery and restaurant looks good. Room is well set up for working or leisure. A great choice for the business traveler.

Very Nice HotelPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Its location & how upscale it was.
Cons: The AC/heating unit in the room could be quieter.
Location: It was a great location for High Point Farms, which was my destination in the morning. About a 15 min drive.
The room was beautiful & very clean. The staff was friendly & helpful, would stay here again. The only thing that I didn't care for was the AC unit in the room was noisy.

very nice hotel!!Posted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
I got this room at a very good rate. The service was great and the room was very nice. Nicer than I expected considering what I paid. I would definitely go again.
