“Nice place to stay at DC.”

Very ideally located with most friendly and helpful staff(even during the Christmas weekend). Comfortable rooms . A wide choice of restaurants in walking distance. We had the best Sushi at 'Rolls and Rice' and as usual a fun filled eve at TGIF. Not to forget sumptuos breakfast at 'Maria's Cafe' or Armands'

“What a surprise”

There was no charge for parking and great access to many places. The rooms were better than the ones that I stayed in at the Crown Plaza in Silver spring .

“Excellent price. Superb quality”

Very nice hotel. Alot nicer than I was expecting due to the cost. Quality surpasses the Hilton or Marriot I am accustomed to staying in. Only thing that wasn't 100% positive was that the elevators made some weird noises. They worked perfectly, and were fast, I guess I just was not expecting the screeching/bumping noises. I only heard the noises while riding them. In the room, there were absolutely no disturbances.

Stayed with wife and kids. Wife is picky about everything. At this hotel, wife was happy. Enough said.

“Quality, excellence, and charm”

The Legacy was both easily accessible and comfortable, with a well-trained staff and fine amenities. The desk staff were helpful, offered appropriate and much-appreciated suggestions for dining, and solicitous. The room was spacious, well-appointed and exceptionally clean - and kept that way each day by a courteous staff. I will stay again, and encourage others to do so.

“Great Hotel Location, Dining, METRO, Whole Foods: all within 2 blocks!”

This hotel was just what we needed for our family on our trip to DC! It is on the north side of the Washington, DC area in Rockville Maryland, but that was a huge plus for us. We arrived, checked in, unloaded to our car (we were on a 3 week American history adventure and spent 4 nights at the Legacy) and then parked our car on one of the upper levels of parking garage which is shared with the tenants of the condos next door, where it stayed for 4 days. The area around the hotel is excellent and really added to our experience. Whole Foods, my personal favorite, is just across the street in a medium size strip mall area along with several shops and restaurants. Also in the same parking lot with the hotel and surrounding condo/apartments there are a few more dining options and shops, all within easy walking distance of our front door at the Legacy. We walked to the nearby METRO stop, Twinbrook, about 3 blocks from our hotel and the only time we got out the car (and the only negative about the Legacy) was to go to do laundry at coin laundry just 2 blocks on the other side of the hotel). The staff, especially, Shauna - were exceptionally kind, helpful and professional! The room (king suite with a sofabed) was spacious and recently renovated. The bed was the best of our 18 night, 10 hotel experience. We got a great deal on the room on Expedia - less than half listed at the hotel website. A really great experience!

“Upscale hotel in downtown Rockville”

Nice room, friendly staff, accurate listing. Parking is in an adjacent building which was a bit of a pain but a nice stay overall.

Very good hotel to definitely keep in mind in the future. Quiet, new, elegantly funrnished, clean, spacious room. Conveniently located in a residential area with various places at walking distance to find food, including a supermarket. Conveniently located at 5 min walk from metro stop into DC, making transportation very cheap and not a worry. Shopping malls at a quick ride distance too. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a complimentary internet room for guests. As a woman travelling alone, the area felt very safe. recommend it!

“Wonderful comfort, service, and amenities”

We loved our stay at the Legacy! We live in town but needed a place to crash that night. They had an excellent rate offer so we reserved a room. Boy were we surprised by our stylish comfortable room! Front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful. Will definitely recommend the Legacy to future out of town guests.

“Affordable, convenient D.C. option”

The hotel was a great price for the D.C. area, and the train station was only a block or so away from the hotel, so it was an easy walk to the station and relatively short (30 minutes or so) commute into downtown D.C. It's not the most scenic location (the hotel is located among strip malls), but the rooms themselves were in excellent condition and were clean. My only complaints about the hotel are that the elevator system seemed a bit rickety and I couldn't find any coffee in the lobby (and I believe there was supposed to be some). If you're looking to save a bit of money and don't mind taking the train into D.C., the Legacy is a great option.
