Good location for traditional sightseeingPosted Jun 3, 2014
Cons: Better wifi. More fruit at breakfast, please. :)
Location: Get falafel at Afteem! Nicest man owns it and the food is great.
The hotel is in good condition and everything looks rather nice. I will mention, however, that if you need wireless internet for business or work purposes--this may not be the best option for you. I had to switch rooms because my first room did not pick up the internet at all, and even in my second room the internet was painfully slow and I was barely accomplish anything. I will also mention that the beds were a box spring with a memory foam topper. There was no actual mattress. I'm young so it didn't bother me much, but I would imagine this would be quite uncomfortable for most older people. However, both rooms that I saw had a great view and were nice otherwise. The manager was a very hard worker, very friendly and kind.

Poor breakfasts but close to Manger SquarePosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: The rooms
Rooms were great but the breakfasts were far from what one would expect from a five star hotel. The staff would not say what a taxi ride to Herodium would cost. In Jordan one was able to get both the cost of the journey and the price per hour if the taxi remained while one visited a site.

Excellent hotel in the centre of BethlehemPosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: Spacious foyer and reception area, cafe/bar with indoor/outdoor seating. Very comfortable room.
Cons: The front desk staff could smile a bit more.
Location: Within two minutes' walk of the Church of the Nativity, the Peace Centre, shops and restaurants. Taxis/tour guides available for excursions.
I spent three nights in Manger Square hotel. The room was superb - double bed, air conditioning, TV with BBC, CNN and other English-speaking channels, fridge, safe - and the breakfast buffet had something for all tastes. Most guests are out sight-seeing, but sometimes I was in during the day, and saw how professional the hotel staff are. The hotel appears to cater mainly to large groups, but as a solo traveller, I felt well cared-for and perfectly comfortable.
