awful accommodations

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: nothing!!!!!!!
Cons: value for the price
I had selected the Wylie Inn based on the web photos of the complex. On the Massachusetts coast, secluded, perfect for my wife's birthday. It was the opposite. The room assigned to us was in the basement, small dingy room, almost like a dungeon. For the cost of the room, $150 a night, it was unacceptable. I requested another room and was told that was all that was available. I felt that since I had arranged through Expedia, I got the trash room. We did not stay, we got a beautiful room at the Marriott for $169. I would not recommend staying at the Wylie Inn. Stay at the Marriott instead. more value for the cost.

Very fresh hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Location: This hotel does have a beach but if you really want to see a North Shore beach, this is not the one to go to!
I booked a room at this hotel since my niece's wedding shower was taking place at the Tupper Manor the next day, which is on the same property as the Wylie Inn. I called earlier in the day to inform them we would be arriving well past check in and a note was put in the file so that our room would still be there! The hotel has recently been through a renovation and it shows. The exterior looks freshly painted, the landscaping very pretty. The lobby, hallways and our room all looked clean and fresh. No stained rugs or bubbling paint anywhere to be found! The bed linens were lovely. The only negatives would be the slightly sluggish elevator and the size of the room. The room was small and awkwardly shaped (we were on the Garden level, although we never saw a garden!). Note that our bathroom did not have a tub, just a large shower stall.

Thank you for staying with us at the Wylie Inn and Conference Center at Endicott College after your niece’s shower. Whether early or late, we’re always happy to accommodate you when you’re ready to check-in. We worked very hard to improve our facility during our renovation and it’s great that the updates added to your stay. Come back and see us again!

Maid is stingy in providing soaps; also she does not change sheets even though I stayed for 4 nights.

Pleasant staff, clean room

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Staff was friendly, room was clean.
Cons: Rooms were very tiny and had no fridge or microwave.
Location: The inn was close to Salem.
The staff was very helpful and friendly and room was clean. If you have a room near the exercise room, ask for a room change right away. We were woken up at 6am to what sounded like waking up in a bowling alley, but it was someone working out and throwing around weights.

Pros: Location
Cons: Housekeeping services
Location: Lots of FUN things to do in nearby Salem, which was the purpose of our stay.
We were given a basement room which was small but adequate for our needs. There were other available rooms with killer views we discovered after checking in. Wish ee had had been informed of this upon checking in. Desk staff very helpful. Hotel housekeeping staff did not provide toiletries so we had to go retrieve them from the front desk twice. That was aggravating after day long activities & arriving back at the room for the evening.

Wylie inn

Stayed here for one night. The rooms are only small but are very clean. A super comfy bed, good shower and some of the best in room coffee I have ever had. This is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the country.
