Close to Endicott College.

Surly front desk staff for check in and check out so it was not specific to individuals but more the feel. They wanted to charge $50 to change from one queen bed to two doubles. The next day at a Marriott the same request was filled with a smile and no charge. Very generic breakfast and public spaces.

A 3-star hotel sliding down to 2-star

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: The small cafe had a nice simple selection of food.
Cons: Cleanliness, paint, staffing attitudes!
Location: The location is a bit out of the way for "tourist activities" but the area is nice and peaceful.
The hotel staff was among the most unfriendly I have encountered in a while. I think this must be a reflection of the management. Workers who are not treated well usually reflect that in their dealing with the public. The hall way and elevator carpets are dirty and there are nicks in the paint everywhere that show the lack of care and upkeep. The bed and pillows were unbearable! They all felt like they were made out of lead. Although the room was basically clean, no one cleaned our room at all on the second day...towels were replaced but nothing else was done! Very disturbing. This property has the potential to be a very nice place if only someone cared.

Beverly overnight

Pros: /quality of the rooms, overall ambience
Cons: Tightness of the mattress cover. It wasn't.
Location: It's along the Mass. coast north of Boston, about 15 min drive south of Glouscester.
Pleasantly surprised by this inn and conference center. Reception was efficient. Room was of a high quality in terms of size and amenities. Café off lobby was a pleasant surprise. Had a light dinner and breakfast there and prices were reasonable. Has a small beach a short walk behind the complex.

Beautiful hidden gem.

Pros: Beautiful grounds. Our bed was very comfy!
We found the hotel and grounds very beautiful. Our room was spacious and well appointed. We asked the front desk for restaurant options and he was very helpful.

awful accommodations

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: nothing!!!!!!!
Cons: value for the price
I had selected the Wylie Inn based on the web photos of the complex. On the Massachusetts coast, secluded, perfect for my wife's birthday. It was the opposite. The room assigned to us was in the basement, small dingy room, almost like a dungeon. For the cost of the room, $150 a night, it was unacceptable. I requested another room and was told that was all that was available. I felt that since I had arranged through Expedia, I got the trash room. We did not stay, we got a beautiful room at the Marriott for $169. I would not recommend staying at the Wylie Inn. Stay at the Marriott instead. more value for the cost.

Very fresh hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Location: This hotel does have a beach but if you really want to see a North Shore beach, this is not the one to go to!
I booked a room at this hotel since my niece's wedding shower was taking place at the Tupper Manor the next day, which is on the same property as the Wylie Inn. I called earlier in the day to inform them we would be arriving well past check in and a note was put in the file so that our room would still be there! The hotel has recently been through a renovation and it shows. The exterior looks freshly painted, the landscaping very pretty. The lobby, hallways and our room all looked clean and fresh. No stained rugs or bubbling paint anywhere to be found! The bed linens were lovely. The only negatives would be the slightly sluggish elevator and the size of the room. The room was small and awkwardly shaped (we were on the Garden level, although we never saw a garden!). Note that our bathroom did not have a tub, just a large shower stall.

Thank you for staying with us at the Wylie Inn and Conference Center at Endicott College after your niece’s shower. Whether early or late, we’re always happy to accommodate you when you’re ready to check-in. We worked very hard to improve our facility during our renovation and it’s great that the updates added to your stay. Come back and see us again!
