One night stay between Bezier airport and MontpePosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Quietness, friendly service and breakfast.
Cons: Bed - horribly hard. No tea/coffee facilities - but that's how France is.
Location: Residential area through gate along pedestrian track to sandy beach. Town is interesting - lots of yachts, people watching and eating.
Quiet hotel away from bustle of town - handy for good sandy beach - pleasant walk to the town. Bed v hard! Would have been helpful to have details (when we booked the hotel) of more economical journey from Airport than 42Euro taxi. If we'd have known we could have used the Shuttle (navette) from outside airport (30 mins after each flight arrival) to Agde train station 1.5Eu then standard 1Eu fare to the end of the road from the hotel in Cap d'Agde. Hotel staff were v helpful in sorting out our journey (bus to Agde then train) to Montpellier next day at time to meet our connection.

It was a little confusing to get to even with GPS. But the hotel was good and the nearby restaurant was amazing.

value for money stopover hotelPosted Mar 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
A comfortable, clean hotel for the money with good, friendly service. Situated among Agde's substantial holiday apartment district. Double rooms would benefit from having two chairs and the bath towels were not large. The buffet breakfast was value for money, though having a toaster would be a bonus. There was a good selection of jams.

Good place to stay, close to excellent beach, though the Med here is cooler than we expected. Nice breakfast an extra 10 Euro pppn. Cap d'Agde is deceptively large, it's half an hour walk to the centre (the main harbour). There are (infrequent, especially after 3 Sept) buses both to the centre and to the old town of Agde - 1 Euro per journey, but the buses and the vin are about all that's cheap. To get to and from the Beziers airport, by far the cheapest option is the bus, 1.50 Euro per person, but it doesn't go to Cap d'Agde even though that is the main resort - it takes you to Agde Gare SNCF, you can then get the local bus (line 3) to approx. 200 yds from the hotel, but the timings don't connect well - or else a 20 Euro taxi. The shuttle boat from neat the hotel (Baie des Anges) to and ffrom the port is the nicest way to get about, and takes you rihht around the varioius marina areas etc., but costs 3.50 Euro single, 6.00 round trip.

Comfy hotel with friendly staff, near great beachPosted Sep 11, 2012
Pros: Comfy bed with excellent pillows. A good night's sleep.
Cons: No kerb appeal. No balcony, no tea making facilities, no shower head holder on wall.
Location: Close to beach, a bit of a hike to the Port (but not unpleasant). Set in residential area.
Friendly staff, clean room but fairly basic. No tea making facilities. Free aircon and WiFi. Beach 300m. Port about a mile. Decent restaurants nearby and plenty near the port. Beach superb.
