“We LOVED our stay!”
We love to visit Big Bear a few times a year, but this is the first time we've stayed at the Bay Meadows Resort. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the service. The room was very nice and clean. We felt like we were in a cozy cabin, yet with the conveniency of a hotel. This will now be our favorite place to stay when we visit Big Bear.
“Big Bear Trip”
Good management, Very clean. Nice rooms and newly remodeled. Close to town but not too close. We will go back.
“Great place to stay! Nice newly renovated room! Very nice hotel staff!”
We stayed at the Bay Meadows Resort after a day at Octoberfest. Even though we arrived to the hotel late, the hotel staff worked out the problem I had with my credit card. We had a nice, newly renovated cabin style, two bedroom. I would definitely stay here again.
“Excellent customer service, cozy cabins, quiet location.”
Everything was perfect.
“Overall very satisfied”
Although we were charged additionally upon arrival for taxes and fees (which we were told was included), it was the only con that we had. Our cabin was very clean, the heater worked great, great location an near the main village. Our cabin was not connected to any other rooms so it felt very private. We didn't have to be concerned with noise levels from us or other neighbors at all. The decor was updated and and felt warn and classy. We had such an awesome time here and I would absolutely stay here again and refer to friends and family.
“loved this place”
very very nice place close to lake and best of all pet friendly Owers Ava & Tony great will stay here again
“Perfect surprise”
First visit to Big Bear, so we had no idea what it would be like, but fit into the environment and was definitely somewhere we would stay again. Very quiet - well, it was Sunday/Monday - clean, easy access. Llittle rooms. but adequate - after all, we didn't go there to stay in the room all day, and they were charming. Right on the lake, but in a neighborhood too. Everything worked. People were great. Pet friendly so Cubby loved it too.
“Nice private, quiet, place.”
Only thing I was expecting a cabin but it was more like a Motel room. Overall very satisfied, it is located about 5min away from the main city. Staff was very friendly and helpfull, they even gave us axact directions on an alternate route to take back home to SD due to the fact most roads out of there required chains. Shops about five min away, snow summit about 8min away.
“Oct 2010 - Our stay was GREAT!”
We stayed one night and found it to be a great experience! We stayed in room 124, on what they call their "rustic " side, which was one of three units. all single story, in a common building. Our unit had a really nice back patio - wooden deck complete with table and chairs ('Two of the three units had back patios) EVERYTHING about our unit was great - it looked brand new, had cable TV, and also had a fireplace that worked wonderfully (wood was 10$ and worth every penny, more than enough to last the evening.) Additionally, the room heater was just killer! Really a pleasure to show up to a cabin and find the heater worked so well. Kitchen appliances were new and clean, hot water was abundant. The drive area around the cabins is well paved - you are not rolling in and out on a dirt road. If you haven't been up there in a while, there are ALL the local stores you'd find down below so don't worry about loading up - just arrive and shop later. Gas prices were not an issue either. This was a spur of the moment thing for us and we were very, very happy with the results!
“I would stay here again! Pleasantly surprised :)”
I was in Big Bear and was participating as a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding and had to book a room unexpectedly. I was crunched for time and frantically searching for a hotel. Most places were sold out and I was panicking since I needed the room that day. I came across this one and booked it not knowing what to expect. I walked into room #105 and it was like I walked into a really nice furnished apartment complete with a full kitchen with granite counter tops, kitchen table, and two bar stools. It was spotless and even had a stocked kitchen, dishes and all. I really loved this room and it even had a pull out couch. The only thing I would say that was not 100% was the bed. Although the bedding was very comfy the actual bed was a little firm for my taste. My boyfriend prefers firm beds so he was happy with it. Overall I had an amazing experience at this hotel and I would definitely recommend it!!
