“Affordable and very comfortable”

Hotel rooms at the Frontier look like the inside of a cabin. It was very inexpensive and rooms are literally right on the lake.

One of the best vacations we have ever had. Beautiful place, very clean rooms, excellent service. Cannot say one bad thing about Big Bear Frontier. Would recomend to everyobne, and we will be going back again.

“Amazing romantic winter getaway!”

If you're looking for an inexpensive, cozy romantic winter getaway this is the hotel to stay in. Very well placed, comfortable, cozy and clean facilities. The restuarant in front which was recommeneded to us at the hotel was amazing as well. The staff was nice and helpful and the area is amazingly beautiful, right near the lake, there was a pretty creek in front of our cabin and the heavy snow on the ground was handled pretty well. The cabin was always warm enough and everything worked. The bed was a little too soft and made sleeping a little uncomfortable. Other than that, everything else exceeded my expectations. Will definetly return next year!

“Wonderful”

This hotel was great! They were very accomodating and the rooms had everything we needed and we were able to walk and get dinner at night and coffee in the morning. Overall, the experience was wonderful!

“Pleasant Surprise.”

Our expectation for this trip was that we would be camping in style. When we arrived, we were allowed to check in early and they upgraded our room. The front people were very nice and helpful with all the area information. The hotel grounds were kept nice and someone was constantly cleaning it up. The small lake beach, village and many restaurants are close walking distance. The pool was clean but the jaccuzi was not hot. My 10 year old enjoyed the complementary hot chocolate, playing ping pong and pool. It was very budget friendly and nice to get away from the heat.

“Definitely a Place to Come back to!”

We stayed in the motel portion (not the cabins). The motel is located right on the water with a nice deck to sit out on. The rooms are good-sized with a fireplace and kitchen amenities. As someone had noted before, though, I would request the top floor as I could hear the people in the room above us walking back and forth. Definitely a place to come back to!

“Big Bear Frontier--Awesome!”

We stayed at the Big Bear Frontier. Wasn't sure what to expect, having not ever stayed there before. I was very surprised at how large the area is. If you are looking for glitzy glamour....go to Vegas. If you are looking for a nice relaxing rustic, cabin-like room--stay here! We were steps from the lake and we had a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub in our room!! Very romantic and nice. The room had everything we needed. A very comfortable bed, refrigerator, iron, blow dryer, microwave, table and chairs, armoire with a t.v. everything we needed and more. The staff was extremely nice. We will stay there again!!!

“Nice place ...”

I was upgraded upon checkin from a room to a cabin, which I appreciated. Nice place to stay and very reasonably priced. Room was clean and comfortable; rest of cabin the same. I would stay there again.
