“Romantic cottage getaway”

Such a great place for couples to stay. Very romantic. The cottage was very spacious, much larger and nicer than I expected and at a great price! My fiance and I were so happy with our stay we wished we could have stayed longer. We will definetly stay there again sometime.

Cathy's Cottages was very easy to find and the lady who checked us in was very helpful. I have always wanted to stay in a hotel with a jacuzzi tub and this was perfect! Of course it was small, but so cute! Just the kind of cabin in the mountains you would see in romantic movies.

Cathy's cottages is one of the best places to stay in Big Bear. We stayed in one of the Jacuzzi/Fireplace rooms (223) and were very pleased. The cabin came fully equipped with everything from a mini fridge to bath robes. The dual shower was also a romantic touch. The only draback was a very uncomfortable couch. That being said, we will definitely return to cathy's Cottages in the future.

“A Winter Getaway”

This cottage was exactly what we wanted. As soon as we got into the room we felt away from the city and into our own country cottage. The hotel is in big bear city so its a little out of the way if you want to go skiing or need something late at night but other than that we enjoyed our stay. What made it even better was a guest book located next to the bed with past guests experiences and stories it made us feel all the love that has past through the doors.

Overall it was a nice place to stay. I would recommend to others. The only thing I thought was a little odd was that there was no dresser or closet. It was close to everything yet hidden away. We played in the snow right out front. And there is a circle K right across the road for the nightly munchies. Loved having a fireplace.

“Great Experience, Wrong Girlfriend”

I booked a night as a quick little getaway from the hustle of Los Angeles. At check-in I could tell that the business was run by a tight family that is established in the community. They were friendly, informative, and cool. The cabin was huge, well stocked, and very clean. The only negatives are very minor: the love seat was a bit uncomfortable, but with a king size bed and jacuzzi tub to romp around in, if you spend enough time on the couch to actually be annoyed by it you've got bigger problems. The tiles are cold... but they're tiles. Ceramic floors are supposed to be cold in winter and the room heater is AWESOME. The property is a bit removed from downtown, but there's a Circle K right on the corner for a quick snack to keep the virility up. This was a perfect get away and I'll be coming back... just with a different woman.

“Cute Room”

My husband and I got the fireplace jacuzzi cottage and it is very cute. It isn't anything fancy if that's what your looking for but it is cute and comfortable. The bed and the couch were a bit worn out but it wasn't anything that we felt we needed to complain to management about. It's a good size and it has all the amenities that you might need. We felt welcome when we checked in and the people at the front desk made us feel like we wouldn't have any problems which we didn't. They also let us know we can call them any time for anything. We definitely look forward to returning next winter.

“Cute little place!”

My husband and I decided to get away for the night and found this place on Expedia. For the price, I was extremely pleased. The cottages are cute and really clean. The drive into town was not bad at all. I would totally go back. One thing I must say, though, is that I wish this place was a bit further into the forest and a little less close to the main road.
