Cozy cottage good for skiing couples!Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Had everything we needed. Like the Jacuzzi tub!!!
Cons: Update the room décor a little. The bed was a little soft for me. The fixtures in bathroom could be upgraded and more heat in the bathroom/toilet area
Location: Had dinner at MADLON'S. It is fantastic! Call ahead to see if they can take you. We got lucky. Great wine list! The rack of lamb and filet wonderful!
Enjoyed our stay at Cathy's cottages. The photos look just like the room. It has all that you need for days spent skiing and night spent relaxing. Enjoyed the spa tub, yes, for two. Took a while to fill, but very relaxing. Cool that it was by the fireplace and you could watch TV from it. Love seat was nice by the fire and the bed was fine. There is a little table for two in the room too. Coffee maker (with coffee/tea), microwave, mini fridge, toaster, hairdryer were all there. Nice amenities. Liked there were two sinks and yes, there are two shower heads. Heaven! Check in is a few miles away at Sleepy Hollow on Eureka Rd. But it was easy enough to find the Cathy's Cottages from there. There is a Circle K gas station/convenience store across the street so if you forget anything it will work. We stayed in unit 6, which was attached to unit 5. I don't think anyone was staying there, so can't tell you if it would be loud or not. Occasional traffic noise, but you are off the main road. My husband and I will stay here again. it was nice and the gentleman that checked us in and out was friendly.

The cutest little cabinPosted Mar 8, 2014
It was our first time in Big Bear so we had no idea where to stay. Found Cathy's cottages on expedia and it was perfect. They are a little on the outside of town and that is what we liked most. Felt more like a cozy home. Could not have been happier

It did the jobPosted Oct 9, 2013
It was a little dated but it worked fine. Didn't spend much time in the room because it was summer time. Staff was nice.

Great get awayPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: The room had everything needed to make my stay comfortable. The shower and jacuzzi tub were fantastic and all the furniture was comfortable...
Cons: The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been if the cottages were in a more remote location.
Location: I ate at two of the recommended establishments and I fished most of the day. Perfect
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to check-in early and gave me contacts for all the local points of contact of interest. I will be coming back again and again..... Love the BBQ Grill access.

Hi, thanks for the great review! Cathy's Cottages is off the main boulevard, with some cottages closer to it than others. We have other accommodations that are more remote as well. We hope to see you again! Thanks, Josh P., Manager.

Cozy couple's cabinPosted Aug 8, 2013
Cons: Bed was a little too soft, but that is simply my own personal preference and would not deter me from coming here again.
Location: Lots of places to eat nearby, both within walking distance or a short drive. Also, very short drives to The Village, lake, & Snow Summit park.
Perfect weekend getaway with my husband. The place was quiet, relaxing, and exactly as pictured/described. Office staff was very kind & gave clear directions. Circle K across the street came in handy for early morning coffee and afternoon snacks. (Room does have small coffee-maker...I was just too lazy to make any :) Small fridge in room was also great for keeping our wine chilled. Kitchenette is stocked with basic dishware and utensils, including wine glasses & a bottle opener. Microwave comes in handy, too. Jacuzzi tub was probably the best part. We are definitely talking about returning!
