“LOVED Cozy Hollow Lodge!”
My husband and I spent the night in this hotel for Valentines day. It was the perfect romantic getaway on a budget! We got the cheapest room, which was small, but what we expected for our money. It was clean, had a lovely wood burning fireplace, a really comfortable bed (could use better pillows), and was minutes from the town. When we got to hotel we were greeted by the owner who was extremely nice and gave us a previous guests leftover wood and a free fire starter. Saved us $5! We would definitely recommend this hotel.
“A cozy cabin”
After numerous stays in lower priced motels, and then a nice Bed and Breakfast, we tried a cabin and were very pleased with this decision. We had more privacy since we didn't share walls with anyone else; not all cabins are independent buildings so check first. The owners are very pleasant, helpfu, and tend to all details. Ours had a cute front porch with 2 chairs, king-size bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub and kitchette in the main room. There was a full bath with a great shower. SInce the cabin had its own hot water tank, there was always plenty of hot water available immediately. We were a little closer to the main street than expected but it was never really noisy and very quiet by nighttime. The ony problem was that the little refridgerator vibrated in a noisy way. We made a comment to the owners and they improved the situation right away. The grounds include a regular jacuzzi but we didn't get a chance to try it. We were very close to town and almost across the street from a casual restaurant with a great steak dinner called Cowboy Junction. Although some of our cabin features (fireplace, jacuzzi tub) are in common in Big Bear, we plan to return here because of the friendliness, cleanliness, and attention to details of the owners.
“Big Bear Little Cottage”
Everything was good until it was time to get my security deposit back. There was a hold on my debit/checking card. I asked when I checked out how long it would take and they said 24 hours. I waited 72 hours and it still wasn't deposited back into my account. Understanding it was the weekend I called the hotel and they said to get a phone number for them to call and they could expedite my refund faster that way. I did that, however my bank didn't know what I was talking about. I eventually got my refund, a little frustrated inbetween.
“It was awesome. I would go back. Very nice people.”
There was so much stuff to do around. We went bowling which is right down the street. And since it was right off the 18. You can go to Running Spring or Lake Arrowhead if you wanted. The drive was very nice. The people that worked there was very helpful of telling us what was going up at Big Bear when the time that we were there. I already told some people alot of about the place that it was pretty much right in the center of everything. I would go back to that place just for the fun of it. I weater cant be any better then what it was. We both say thank you again for the stay. We would be back.
“Cozy and sweet and just what you need!”
If you want a cute little cabin right near the shopping area and the snow summits, this is the place! I felt like I was at a Bed & Breakfast with the owners being so kind and courteous. They even had their little dog with them. :) They accommodated all my needs and even helped me out with another night at a discounted price. Great place and great people!
“Cozy Get-away”
WE LOVE THIS PLACE ! Me and my boyfriend went away for MDW. It’s minutes from the lake, walking distance to the village and a short drive to the hiking trails. We stood in the stand alone studio cabin with spa and it was absolutely the most cutest thing ever! It was perfect size for the both of us. The heater worked great on the cold nights and we even had a fireplace to keep us warm at night. It’s a mini studio apartment in the woods! The staff is great too. She helped us figure out where to go hiking and advised where to go to get more information.
“Great little Big Bear cabin getaway”
Great cabin for a quick getaway. It's centrally located to Big Bear village and restaurants. My only complaint is that cabin #5 is the only cabin that has a dividing wall with cabin #6 and it can get a bit noisy. All other cabins are stand alone which means they share no wall with other cabins. Overall it was a great cabin and I would stay there again.
“I really enjoyed my stay, and would love to do it again.”
I enjoyed it.
“Very cute place”
Very cute and cozy. We will be back! So close to snow summit and lake.
“**Nice Cabin just.....Don't stay in the common walled studio**”
Let me start of by saying that the lady behind the front desk was pleasent and sweat. We stayed in a studio with an attached wall. My first impression was good. The cabin was smaller then expected, but very clean and cozy. The heater worked well and the fireplace was a plus. There was always hot water in the shower the moment you turned it on, it never went cold. So far everything was great untill at about 430am I was woken about by noises comeing from the other room. Now this is to be expected, but not for 5hours! It was so loud I had my TV volume all the way up and still heard them. It was definetly rude, I ended checking out early and was supper sleepy the rest of the day. Im sure if I stayed in a stand alone cabin I would have rated my stay a 5.
