“home”
a bit pricey but we had all the comforts of home! Very nice place to stay
“Great for a family!!”
Really enjoyed the location and spacious condo! Everything was great! Our bed was a little stiff but other than that we had a great time! Would definitely go back!
“Beautiful Big Bear Lake Location”
Great location, excellent customer service, comfortable accomodations.
“Home away from home”
We were extremely pleased with Lake Shores Inn. 2 story condo with garage!!!! full kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Two full bathrooms. Twin beds in 2nd bdrm seemed small though. Nicely decorated in a moose/winter theme. Very cozy. Three balconies, with two facing the lake with gas grill. Beautiful views of the lake! Couldn't ask for more except high speed internet connection.
“Photos on the internet do not do it justice”
We were very pleased with the place, especially the kitchen. It had all the comforts of home. One of the best perks was that the lake was just out back. We were able to take nice walks and have lunch in the outdoor gazebos overlooking the lake. Everything you need is within walking distance. We are planning to go back real soon.
“A Big Bear Ripoff”
This particular condo was large, but was dingy, with dirty walls, ripped furniture, broken lamps in living room. It didn't have a big enough water heater for three of us to take warm showers. The view of the lake was beautiful and that's what you are paying for. I'm sure there are better condos at this complex. Not the nicest place to stay in Big Bear by any stretch.
“Disappointed”
Small studio--only sleeps three; had bedding and towels for three although we signed up with four. The front desk told us that it was designed for three after we checked in and stayed for one night. Unit was poorly equipped, we had only one coffee mug for the four of us. Fireplace flue did not close so it was cold at night. Front desk is located at a neighboring hotel, so check in and check out was a pain. Couldn't get a hold of anyone at the front desk the first night we stayed to ask for extra blankets, towels, pillows, coffee mugs, ... Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. Everything was in need of improvement.
“disgusting!!”
i don't know what the previous review is talking about! this hotel/condo was disgusting! we should've been aware something was wrong when we pulled up to the hotel office and there was a sign in the window to go to a totally different hotel to register for the room! we ended up staying in room 207 (2bd/2ba condo) and we were terribly disappointed. we paid top dollar for this condo and felt like we were totally ripped off! first of all, the room was dusty and dirty. the wall paper was peeling off the walls and the decor looked like it hadn't been updated since the 1950's! one of the two bathrooms was broken. the shower door had been taken off the track and was in the shower stall when we arrived. there were two patio doors and they both did not lock, so we had to sleep with our doors unlocked the whole night. the heater (which is located in a closet upstairs in between the master and kid's room) was extremely loud and disruptive and kept us up all night. (it was so loud it woke my 5 and 7 year olds up!) this place is disgusting. you are better off saving your money and sleeping in your car! i've been to big bear a few times, and by all means, you definitely have to lower your standards in general, but this was just ridiculous and definitely the worst hotel i've ever stayed at! stay away!
“Not Impressed”
This room had been decorated in the 70's and had not been updated since then. The bedspread was so worn it was hard to tell what color it was, the couch was so dirty we had to put towels on it to sit on it. The grout was missing in the bathroom, wallpaper was coming down and tiles were missing from the bathtub. The greenish carpet had several spots on it. The bed was so old we need a chiropractor to adjust our backs after the weekend.
