NO HOT WATER, NO SPEAK ENGLISH, NO SLEEP/LOUD BARPosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: It was clean room
Cons: Hot water, decent nice customer service, small fridge and microwave for travelers considering price of room
Location: THere is a bar attached to the hotel. By the sound of it, all the clean dry people were partying until late until the night, keeping us awake.

Great place to stay if your visiting YellowstonePosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: The location made it easy to get into Yellowstone and the price was very reasonable.
Cons: A complementary breakfast would have been nice.
Location: The town had an old west atmosphere and there were plenty of novelty shops.
We spent two days visiting Yellowstone. We entered the park at Cody (East entrance) and worked our way South and West. We exited in West Yellowstone and stayed at the Dude and Roundup Motel which was very close to the West entrance. The town of West Yellowstone provided plenty of entertainment and shopping. The next morning we went back into Yellowstone using the West entrance and worked our way East then North and exited the park in Montana.

One of the worst experiences everPosted Aug 20, 2014
Cons: Complete renovation with modern electronics, bathroom facilities, larger rooms, more secure doors and windows, etc.
Broken and repaired doors, inadequate air conditioning, dirty sink and showers, etc, etc. Small room for 2 queen beds. I'm glad we only had to stay here one night. This is one of the worst hotel rooms we have ever stayed in! For the price, it was about $200 per night over priced!

Way overpriced. Picture of motel is different than the one we stayed in.

West YellowstonePosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The room seemed to be clean.
Cons: Ice machine would be nice located at the motel.
Location: This motel is in West Yellowstone, near the entrance of Yellowstone National Park. There is a fantastic ropes course nearby that is a must.
The motel was "all right" but the Oriental fellow at the front desk could barely speak English. I asked for an extra wash cloth and he had no idea what I wanted. I went behind the desk into the back room, picked out a wash cloth from the stack of sheets, towels, etc. I said, "Wash Cloth" and left. The only ice machine was across the street at the neighboring motel. The room, however, was all right.

Location was only thing positive!Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: only location was position---well the beds were comfortable
Cons: Fix electrical outlets so they will work, upgrade locks, bathroom fan( sounded terrible) , and shower controls. Lower the price per night!
Location: Yellowstone Nat Park
For the high price per night, the place was pretty bad, but it was only place available in our price range. No fridge, plug ins were sparse, wi=fi did not work, etc, etc,

Location but that's allPosted Jul 7, 2014
Room did not have microwave, fridge . Bathroom doors didn't lock. This was only motel available for 4th July long weekend. Yellowstone park is easily accessible. Girl from 3 pm shift at reception is friendly. All other staff is rude and don't care for you. Overall ok place for people who use motel just for sleeping. Not for families.

We like The Dude!Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Clean, basic, allows kids, reasonably priced for a resort town where everything is very expensive. Location is great, too.
Location: Great location near the entrance to Yellowstone and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and things to do.
We had a positive experience with our ground floor room in the Dude motel. We stayed two weeknights in June and were satisfied. Our room was basic and clean and everything worked as expected including the wifi, television, A/C, and hot water. The staff was not effusively friendly but definitely polite and professional, and the location is awesome... right near the entrance to Yellowstone. We will stay at the Dude motel the next time we visit West Yellowstone, hopefully in 2016.

Dude and Roundup NotPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The check in clerk was very helpful and pleasant and allowed us to check in early as my mother was ill.
Cons: For the price (other cities would get you a Hilton for the same price) it was a joke. Not even basic amenities. Camping in local park a better bet.
Location: Yellowstone Park
Picture shows newer hotel and did not show the fact that hotel consists of 2 old style 2 story hotels, the Roundup being the one we stayed in that was older and more run down. Worst of all was no microwave, no hair dryer, and NO HOT WATER. No staff on duty when we arrived. We had to call a number and wait for clerk to come from another job to check us in. There was no one available to fix hot water (or even to tell that there was no hot water).
