Aside from the bright lights from the grocery store next door being on all night, it was a comfortable stay. I loved the heated garage! The rooms are small, but adequate.

This is a unique property. It has a bit of local history. We were treated well and the Inn had a friendly warm community feel. The fireplace in the lobby is very nice. The staff were excellent, friendly, interesting, and welcoming. I would stay here again.

Winter streets are not cleared to allow snow mobiles to drive around town. This makes for very noisy street side rooms. There was no bathroom counter to put anything on. The breakfast was lacking. And then are the stuffed animals everywhere, really creepy. This is a very dated property and the tv cable was poor.

I love the room the ease of parking and how close I was able to park to my unit. Unfortunately, the room was under the street light, so it was extremely bright, even with the shades closed and somewhat noisy but everything else considered. It was definitely worth it.

Great Historic Hotel
This is my favorite place to stay in West Yellowstone for a lot of reasons. They used to have a historian named Paul at check in, and it’s too bad he’s not there anymore, but everyone moves on eventually I guess. The hotel is historic, and if you understand the history it’s really cool. If you don’t, the many taxidermy critters, heated garage, grand staircase, fireplace game room with a grand piano, and more will be to your liking. However, if you are looking for modern amenities (high water pressure, uncramped bathrooms, etc) you won’t find it in an 1800s era hotel. But really, who goes to West Yellowstone for that?

Historic charm
We stayed in the Historic portion on the hotel on the second floor near the laundry facilities. Our room was quiet and clean. This is an old building (hence historic) but has been modernized and was very comfortable. We have a small dog and there’s not a designated dog walking area but it all worked out very well. Breakfast was abundant.

This is a Historic building and has been well cared for, nice size indoor pool, exercise room, laundry area all very clean and in working condition. I was surprised by the huge selection for Breakfast, Yummy Thanks guys

Amazing from staff to decor!
The check-in was sooo easy, the rooms we clean. The mattress was older with a cave into the middle feeling. Wall paper was peeling off the wall...but everyone was sooo friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast with waffles and fresh fruits, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, danishes, and yogurt were kept in stock and the hours from 7 to 10 am, didn't mean waking up at the break of dawn to eat. They were so considerate since you are on vacation. Also the country decor was sooo cool I sent pictures to my grandkids to see all the animals. I have already and will continue to refer people to this place.
After not seeing any moose on our visit, I took this picture in the lobby, as were were checking out, to say I had a picture of a moose...lol

This was a vintage hotel (built in 1948) with loads of character. The room was a bit cramped and the bathroom needed to be updated. The location to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park was ideal.

Beautiful authenticity rustic classic hotel. Cozy fireplace and great room/ common area. The taxidermy wildlife in the lobby were phenomenal. Perfect place for a western hotel experience. Very friendly staff.
