"Nice lodge in the trees"
So pleased we stayed in this lodge. It is right in the park, but away from the tourists with good parking and facilities. Little supermarket nearby (but like all NP supermarkets - expensive), and restaurant (not much choice but okay). We enjoyed being able to sit out on the wooden verandas and watch the wildlife. We drove from here to Sequoia NP - took an hour and we liked staying here rather than Sequoia NP as it was much quieter. Free wi fi in the large sitting room area. I would very much recommend this lodge.

We enjoyed our stay at Stony Creek very much. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the room comfortable and clean. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but we've slept on worse! The only complaint we really had about the room was with the door (to Room 6)....the lower knob would not latch closed and we came back after a day of sightseeing to discover that the cleaning staff had not been able to close it so that it would lock...therefore our belongings had been unsecured for the whole day. We alerted the front desk upon checking out and they were going to take care of it. With a full breakfast, the price was definitely worth it! However, if there was a suggestion box, we would like to add that it would be great to have something other than pizza be available for dinner, even if it was just soup and sandwiches! The lobby was clean, inviting and warm with a roaring fire in the fireplace, as even though it was the middle of May we woke up to 4" of snow on Friday (May 15th!). We will definitely come and stay here again.
