Bilbao Bay is a residential and industrial area near the mouth of the Nervion River, stretching north along the bay to the municipality of Getxo and south to Santurtzi and Zierbena. The area encompasses the Port of Bilbao, and the city of Bilbao is 18 kilometres inland along the river. There are 3 beaches and a marina along the northern shore of the bay and a golf club at the cape.
