Unhappy with Expedia.Posted Oct 3, 2013
Cons: Smokers room, twin beds and not King as reserved
Will not use a third party reservation service like Expedia again as you only the the "leftover" rooms the hotel can not book. We got smelly smokers room with twin bed when we reserved a king, non-smoking on-line. Never again.

Nice tower, if you get to stay therePosted Sep 11, 2013
I booked this hotel based on the pictures of the grand tower thinking that I would get to stay there. That did not happen. We were put in a room in the back of the hotel that seemed like a dungeon. The staff was great but were not able to get us a room where I had initially thought we would be staying. Room was decently clean but outdated.

Hotel front desk staff are courteous and friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff for buffet breakfast are very slow. No body clean up the empty tables even 12 people of 5 different parties were waiting to be seated. My wife told me later there is a sign posted in the restaurant saying it is operated independently.

Cons: attitude, as above.
Nice enough place. Good pool area. A little complicated to get around (floorplan) as it is clearly a property that was developed a little at a time. Pricing was fine. Biggest disappontment was the attitude of the front desk staff. I witnessed this twice, and then was on the receiving end once (...and we only stayed one night!). I come from the school of "customer pays your salary" and thus you bend over backwards to please them... as opposed to "customers are an inconvenience to your day". Not at this place. The staff's tone and mannerism I witnessed, dealing with two reasonable concerns being raised, was quite shocking to me. One was broken ice machine that required a longer walk for a guest ("you don't think we want it fixed, too?...." was the response), and the other involved someone who's confirmed room had been given away to someone else... ("We ARE full, sir, these things happen."). When I realized (around 9pm) that we had but 2 bath towels in a room for 5 people, I politely called down for more towels (requesting 4, as one of them had been used by my daughter already, just out of the pool). The response: "I can give you 2... we only have so many here at the front desk to get us through the evening". I gave a very polite but firm version of "not my problem you don't keep enough around..." and asked for them to be sent. After none arrived in 90 minutes, I had to send my son to the front desk for them. Shame about the arrogance... nice place otherwise.

low quality hotelPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was busy lots if people staying there is is outdated and needs some upgrades. When we made our reservation we stated two adults three kids. When we checked into the hotel went up to he room with leftovers from supper, but there was no fridge in the room which I thought was a little odd for a holiday inn. Then we pulled the sofa bed out and there was no bedding on it or to be found in the room. I called the front desk and requested some and needless to say 3 hours later I had to go down and tell them I need bedding because our children needed to be put to bed. So they finally brought bedding and no pillows..... After 4 hours and consistent reminders we finally had what we Needed. Wasn't overly impressed and won't stay at this hotel again.
