Mix Up

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Arrived very late and was tired. Checked in received my room key and headed up for a nights rest. Well when I got to my room, door wouldn't open and it was a good thing it didn't because someone was already staying in that room. The front desk apologized and even upgraded me to a suite. Very nice. All was well.

Not Family Friendly

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Maybe a change in rules.
Location: Did not get a chance to see, was disappointed in the treatment we received and decided to leave early
Have stayed in Harris Hotels around the country and have never been told our child could not walk with us though a casino to get to the restaurant. we were stopped by security and told our child could not go in to casino with us, I told the security officer that we were just going to eat ( all restaurants are on other side of casino) . his answer was I am sorry but that are the rules. Went to another hotel and did not have a problem.

Pros: It was average
Cons: DO NOT ALLOW SMOKING AT THE POOL AREA, WITH THE WIND THERE WERE CIGARETTE BUTTS ALL OVER THE DECK ARE AND IN THE POOL
Location: JUST A COUPLE OF CASINOS, EVERYTHING ELSE YOU'LL NEED A CAR
Couldnt understand why we had to wait in line at the check-in desk to get towels for the pool.....up to a 20 minute wait to get towels??

Good place if you are a gambler

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Free parking for self and right across water, close to restaurants, try Half Shell Oyster House, real amazing
Cons: Have non smoking areas in casino and restaurants.
Location: Swimming, eating out, good area
As we are non smokers, it is very disappointing not to have non smoking areas in the casino. Even two of the restaurants are in the casino open to smoke. They are also rather expensive. We don't gamble much so not a major issue. However we had no hot water in the room and had to take a cold shower in the morning, not fun

What is needed

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: .
Cons: A business center is needed. As a college teacher of a online course, I assumed that there would be a business center where I could access my course.
Location: .
good, but lacked some of the usual things in a Harrah's hotel

Nice hotel!

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: I liked it's location and amenities .
Cons: Jacuzzi was only warm because we were told the part had been ordered. Also the casino would probably improve visitors if winners were announced.
Location: Location was convenient . Went to Katrina +10 exhibits, restaurants, and souviner shops.
The hotel was close to the beaches and convenient to many attractions.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted Apr 9, 2015
I stayed here twice in the past two months. The facility is beautiful and close to the beach..... During my first stay, I prepaid for a room with one king bed nonsmoking with no pets. When I arrived, I was told by the front desk they had no more king beds, nonsmoking, with no pets (even though I already paid for it). They offered to give me a room with two queen beds that allows pets in the room for one night then move me to a room like I paid for the next night. I could not accept this room because my husband has allergies. The lady at the desk then told me they have a room like I paid for but would need to be cleaned first and if I waited, they could give me a call when it was ready. We waited patiently and finally got our room that we paid for only to find the room wasn't cleaned very well (there were items in the bed like bread ties, hair bows, etc). During my second stay, the only issue I had was that my shower curtain had black mold growing on the bottom of it.

Good Experience!

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Being from Louisiana we are accustomed to casinos being smoke-free except for a smoking floor. The sixth floor in the hotel smelled of smoke and we did not enjoy walking through the smoke filled casino to get to buffet and "Steak and Shake". Those would be our only complaints. The staff and rooms were outstanding.

$11 resort fee when I asked for towels the night before I never received any. So what is the fee for?

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review and rate our hotel and casino. Regarding the resort fee, we, like other casinos and hotels, charge a resort fee which allows internet access for your laptops and other mobile devices, along with access to our pool and local phone calls. We apologize for any issues surrounding additional towels and we assure you that your comments will be shared with our hotel management team. The next time you visit Biloxi, we hope you'll stay with us again. Sincerely, Harrah's Gulf Coast
