Not a Beach Hotel, But a Good Place to Stay

Posted Jul 28, 2015
There is a beach across the street, but all the main beaches are about 2 miles away. I mention this in case you are looking for a place that is within walking distance of a beach. The beach across the street is pretty run down and we didn't see anyone there the entire time we were there. There are a few restaurants in the hotel and a few at a neighboring casino hotel, the rest will require a vehicle. I booked two beds, but they only had a king available when we checked in. The next day, we got a new room almost as soon as it was available. The rooms and hotel were clean and smelled nice. I lefty wallet and a nice young man named Garrett brought it up to our room. Check in and check out was quick. It had a few bloshes from age. The pool was awesome. It was huge and it was nice to have someone bring around drinks! My kids would have stayed there the entire trip if I let them. The only down side for me was that we had to drive a lot. I like to stay in convenient locations an walk. I didn't realize it was that far away. It was still a good price and a really nice hotel.

We were interrupted by two housekeeping personnel

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Had a room available.
Cons: Directions; where to get ice, how to get back to parked car.
Location: It was across the street from the beach. Jefferson Davis' last home was located a couple miles down the road from the hotel.
Housekeeping personnel knocked on our door about an hour after we checked in. They claimed that they were there to clean the room because they were told the room was empty for the night. There were no directions in the room regarding where the ice/vending was located. Cost $11.19 for internet access for the evening.

Almost ruined my vacation

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: the casino was okay
Cons: almost everything
When I booked a trip to Biloxi, Miss. I went through Expedia, a company we have used in the past. I was very disappointed with both Expedia and Harrah's. When I booked the hotel I was not informed about all of the extra fees i.e. internet, refridgerator fee. Then when we arrived at Harrah"s we were given our room after we stood in line for 20-25 minutes. When we got to the room I looked out the window(we had booked a deluxe king gulf view room) I saw that my view was a view of the parking garage. So I knew there was a mistake. So we went back downstairs and told tem they had given us the wrong room.We were told that going through Expedia does not guarantee a certain type of room. We said we didn't care we wanted the room that we had reserved. So they gave us another room, an once again it had a view of the parking garage, just a few floors up. Also this room smelled terrible. So my husband told him that they had better find us a room or we were leaving. so they finally found a room all this time telling us they were completely booked. The last room was what we requested after1 1/2 hours had passed by now. This room also smelled terribly but by this time we were so tired I just didn't care. I would never recommend Harrah's to my family or friends. And as for Expedia I have always had good experiences with them but after this I will be closing my account with them and be looking for a new trip advisor. I know it sounds as if I'm angry but this almost ruined my 27th wedding ann

Nice pool area and good buffet. Parking very convenient. Could still detect smell of smoke, even in nonsmoking room.

Close to everything

Pros: Beds comfortable and liked the large bath.
Cons: Lobby area could be improved...too many things going on in small area...bar, check-in, breakfast bar, etc.
Location: Had trouble finding entry to check in. Good location.
Had to wait quite awhile to check in as several girls were on phone, and it was quite noisy.

Stay somewhere else.

Hotel room old and run down. Staff in the restaurant rude plus the food was terrible and made us ill that evening. Room reserved was not the room given.
