Good location, not good amenities!!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Cons: Customer service and communication with travel agencies that advertise and sell the nights so that reservations are confirmed.
Location: beach is right across the street, Best Conch salad is around the corner.
First of all, upon my arrival to the hotel, they did not have my reservation on their system. Reservation that was paid close to 2 weeks prior to my arrival. The hotel amenities are outdated, the bathrooms have the sink with the wood chipped. It was hot at night, the air conditioner was not cooling. On the second day they told me I was for check out , when my reservation was for two nights. The food at the hotel restaurant is good but very expensive. The pool was always empty because it looked dirty. Upon check out they wanted me to pay for my stay again!! I had to spend close to an hour for them to fix the problem. The stay was just not what I expected and customer service is not the bet.

Great place to kick back and relax!Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Boat rentals with captain and water sport gear is on-site. Fantastic and convenient!
Cons: Service could be a bit quicker in the restaurant, but you ARE on island time!
Location: Great spots to snorkel/dive in/around Bimini & Cat Cays, shelling, ample lobster/fish, feed the rays, lunch at Bu's Bar (N. Cat), waters are the best!
If you are looking for a laid back, casual atmosphere, this is your spot. Close to bars and restaurants, so no golf cart needed, unless you care to explore or don't want to walk. The people of Bimini are very kind and friendly, and quick to help with anything you need. This is especially true of the staff at Big Game! The hotel itself is reflective of the island and its people, as opposed to Bimini Bay, which is lovely to stay at, but lacks any local flavor. Good food, ample ice, convenient dockage, comfortable and well-cooled rooms. Service was terrific all-around. There is a basic boater's clothing shop that also sells bait, customs office, and liquor/beverage store on-site. We got stranded on the island an extra day due to plane mechanical problems. When we returned to Big Game, the staff greeted us warmly, and put us back in our same room. We encountered Captain Benjamin who had taken us out the two previous days to hit my favorite spots on the water. He was shocked to see us, and immediately invited us to join him, Bertrand and Dominique (owners of BiminiQuebec boat and equip. rentals), and Frank (shark dive encounters) for dinner on the grill, including the lobster, snapper, and other fresh fish they caught that day. Who does that these days?! Truly amazing, and reflective of the best of Bimini's spirit of hospitality.

Great For Travelers Who Like It RealPosted Mar 30, 2013
If you are a traveler who likes keeping it real, you will enjoy the resort, especially its superb restaurant overlooking the marina. If you are the full-service Sandals type who likes controlled adventure, Bimini as a whole is not for you. The only challenge we had was getting a reliable answer on where to snorkel.

Budget HotelPosted Feb 23, 2013
For those looking for a budget hotel, this will suffice. It is conveniently located, has an ok restaurant/bar, though the accomodations are generally in line with a 1970's style Motel 6. Clean and friendly enough, but just set your expectations accordingly. Kind and helpful staff. Bar is quite slow, albeit it usually friendly, with service.

Days in a secluded paradisePosted Dec 13, 2012
Pros: The rooms, the soft water, lounge chair on balcony, outside restaurant
Cons: Some of the restaurant staff seemed to have a hard time having a job, missing a smile
Location: The hotel should be on another island that is cleaner
Beautifully kept, nicely furnished hotel ROOMS in lovely waters. 90% of the staff is very pleasant and we felt welcomed. The menu was a little pricy but good. Unfortunately is the rest of the island very dirty. The inhabitants take no pride in keeping the island clean - too much garbage everywhere. The hotel was a nice oasis to breathe between all the dirt of Bimini. Golf carts are ridiculously expensive and there isn't much too see on the island anyway, except from the garbage. We won't come back to Bimini despite of the nice hotel- the Big Game Fishing Club.

boating, fishing and diving fine..not for familiesPosted Jul 29, 2012
its not a resort..its a hotel on a marina which is fine. maid service is fine, but if you need anything from front desk, you're on your own. very nice people and i understand the whole island time thing, but we couldnt even get ice from ice machine because it was locked up! ....its a place to go for people boating and fishing....not a place for a relaxing getaway. the diving was awesome. the diveboat at the marina was A+....good boat with very good crew.

bimini improvesPosted Jul 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
well the Big game club facilities are certainly better than ever.the service remains pretty much the same, slow and painstaking. overall the experience was the best we ever had on Bimini
Big Game is the best game in town!Posted Jul 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was very happy with my stay at the Big Game Club. Don't worry about the negative reviews pre-2010 when the hotel was redone. Our room was beautiful. High end furnishings, nice bathroom, comfortable beds, etc. The King rooms even have a very comfortable sleep sofa. One disappointment was the lack of a kitchenette. The description leads you to believe that all rooms have kitchenettes but in fact only the cottages have kitchens.
The Pictures looked a lot better!Posted Jul 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was disappointed with the hotel. The pictures online look so much better. The staff in the restaurant was great, but the front desk acted like they could not care less. It was a few blocks from the beach, and beach wasn't that great. We were there to check out the hotel for a group event for 100 people and had an appointment with the GM, and she wasn't there and the staff didn't know anything about our visit. We had a pilot fly us over for one night what a waste of time and money. We stopped at the Bimini Sand on the way to the airport, and we are going there with our group. It a much better place and great beach and staff.
