Recommended: This was a great place to stay for the price,the only down side if you think it's a downside was the rooms were dated.The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.The location was great close to everything you needed.The setting for the motel was great up against the mountains.The owner was very kind and helpful enjoyed talking to him.When I return to upstate NY in Jan. Not recommended: The young man at the front desk was really gave me a warm reception. However the room was small and uncomfortble. The complimentary bfast was delicious and I loved the hot waffle. The amenities listed on the website was misleading. For example it did not indicate that you had to leave the premises to utilize the workout room at the Y down the block. The hotel has a secondary entrance that was isolated on the 2nd floor and I felt uncomfortable to let my child move about unaccompanied. I would not go back. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: We stayed at this hotel because it was cheap and we only needed sleeping accomodations on our way home from New York City to Toronto, Ont. Suffice it to say that the hotel was just ok. The beds didn't feel clean, the room smelled like smoke, and it was extremely tired and seemed unclean. There is a pool that is definitely on its way out in the next year. If you require a place to sleep only for a few hours and you want to save money, then stay here. Otherwise, keep looking. Recommended: This hotel just opened about nine months ago, so everything is brand new and very clean. The room was fairly large with a couch and flat screen TV, the bathroom was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. I was very pleased with the room itself. Service, on the other hand, was just OK. The guy at the front desk when we arrived was luke-warm, and the woman in charge of the breakfast area was a bit cranky, putting away items before breakfast was even over. I care much more about the room and its cleanliness than service, so I didn't really mind that much. The location is somewhat in no-man's land on Vestal Parkway...a bit west of the university and a bit east of the majority of chain shopping and dining, but within a few miles of everything along that strip nonetheless. Recommended: Let me first say that i found the overall experience at the hotel to be enjoyable. That being said, let's move forward. While the hotel is advertised as Newly "Renovated", it is quite obvious is was only a partial renovation. The exterior seemed quite dated. The interior though seemed modern. The smell of ciggarettes hits you as you walk down the non-smoking hall. The room was a good size and had a recliner. The bathroom door jammed during every use. The tub was cracked. There was visible rust on the bathroom lighting and towel rack. The bed was comfortable and the extra pillows were soft. The hotel PROMISED THREE CHANNELS OF HBO, and yet NONE were available. Pets are allowed at this hotel, which may become bothersome. The staff wasn't very personable. Family employees were openly arguing and cursing in the common room. Overall the experience was enjoyable. Most of these faults are ignorable. I would reccomend this to visitors. Happy Trails. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: We arrived late, after a tedious 4 1/2 drive, to fresh apple cider, cookies, chocolate-dipped pretzel sticks, a room upgraded to a penthouse suite and two night managers who rivaled the best of SNL (Saturday Night Live). What's not to like? It was a great ending to a boring day...and a full breakfast was included in the price! Recommended: The check-in experience was one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in a hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to quickly research and answer my questions regarding nearby local attractions and to supply more direct travel directions than those available on-line.
