Great relaxation hotel and place to zone out

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: We loved the pool, beach bar and restaurant and relaxing atmosphere
Cons: I had a few internet problems which were resolved by staff quite quickly but it was a little frustrating at times having to log in continuously
Location: Good location on the beach and next to sister hotel Banyan Tree. We did take a couple of trips to nearby villages but there is not much shopping.
We had 5 nights at the hotel and once we "entered the zone out faze" we were ok. It only took a little look around and cocktail by the pool to do this and the staff are extremely friendly.

Tired room, need a refresh, def not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Similarly, the bars and restaurant charges 5 star hotel prices, but offer 2 start service. The Banyan Tree next door has the same prices for food and drinks, and a much better service. Go there!

Dear Traveler, Thank you for the feedback. I am happy to learn that the restaurants at our sister hotel, Banyan Tree Bintan, had delighted you more than the ones here at Angsana. Please be assured that we will be taking this opportunity to learn from our sister property and enhance our services and products too. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to look after you on your next visit to Bintan. Sincerely, Mohamed Hilmy Hotel Manager

A over priced 3 stars hotell

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: The beach
Cons: Lower prics
Location: There are nothing to do nearby and if you want it cost a lot.
As a 3 stars hotell it is fine. Good service and food. But it is overpriced. You do not have a choise to eat and drink another place. It is very quite.

Dear Traveler, I am pleased to know that you have enjoyed your stay with us. I am concerned to learn that you were not made aware of the activities and dining options available here at Bintan. Angsana Bintan together with its sister property Banyan Tree, has got more than 101 activities for its guests to choose from, including Jetski, banana boat rides, ATV, kayaking, snorkeling, mini car rides, bike rides, nature walks and so on. We also have 6 restaurants for our guests to choose from. Thank you for providing this feedback and we will look into ways to improve such communication with our guests in future. The team and I are looking forward to yet, another visit from you to Angsan Bintan. Sincerely, Mohamed Hilmy Hotel Manager

great weekend option from singapore

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: food option at the Banyan Tree is easy and delicious. other activities including water sports at the hotel and off venue go karting option was a plus
Cons: unfortunate tar rolling up on the beach. hotel does a reasonable job trying to remove, but still sticks to one's feet when walking along the beach.
loved the staff. welcome change from other tourist jaded hotel employees. all young energetic, positive to assist and smiles on everyone's faces.

Dear ken, Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed our hotel activities and even went extra mile to try out the go-kart facility nearby. It is also good to hear your positive comment about the food in our sister hotel next door, Banyan Tree Bintan, which as you have pointed out is an option for our guests who want to try dining experience other than what are available at Angsana Bintan. I would also like to thank you for addressing how positive our associates’ attitudes were, let me assure you that your comment will not go unnoticed. In addition to that allow me to apologize for the inconvenience that was caused by the tar on the beach. Let me also highlight that this is beyond our control and all other resorts on the beach front locations of Bintan Island do experience this too. However, please be assured that we do increase the frequency of beach clean-ups when this happens in order to provide our guests with a clean beach. I hope that this shortfall didn't ruin your overall experience and image of the resort and I look forward to another opportunity of welcoming you back to Angsana. Best pool and that's it

Posted Apr 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Was really looking forward to visiting Bintan for the first time, and seeing the pictures of Angsana made me even more excited. On arrival, we were stuck in the hotel lobby for a long time until we checked in, however due to arriving early (check in time 3pm- very late) we were stuck for over 3 hours with no where to go. The room was delayed even further by a faulty air con in the room, however once we received keys to the room- it shocked me how old and outdated it was. The bathroom was probably the biggest let down and disappointment. Unfortunately the only thing awesome about my stay at Angsana was the pool... room service was super expensive (USD) and a poorly set up buffet breakfast.

Dear Angela, Thank you for the feedback. It is with regret that I take note of your disappointments related to your recent stay. It is sad that the start to your holiday wasn’t good as you had arrived in the morning and had to wait in the lobby for the standard check-in time of the hotel to get to the room. I have taken note of your feedback related to the condition of our rooms and would like to let you know that we have now come up with a rooms upkeep program that is adressing all such issues in our rooms. Your feedback on buffet breakfast has also been shared with our Executive Chef and corrective action is being taken. Thank you for the gracious comment on our public pool and I am glad that you found it awesome. I hope that you will return back to Angsana Bintan once again giving us the opportunity to turn your current Angsana experience to a wonderful one. Sincerely, Mohamed Hilmy Hotel Manager

Excellent hotel for our three day mini vacation.

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location is excellent, we never ventured outside the complex.
The hotel had all the facilities we required plus very attentive and polite staff, excellent food at sensible prices and drinks at prices one would expect in Indonesia.

Nice beach view, not crowded so lots of privacy

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Very friendly staff and relax ambience. Gym facilities are in excellent condition. Nice Angsana essence oil fragrance!
Cons: Amenities should be in ready condition before guests check hotel. Lotus Cafe should be air-conditioned to keep mosquitoes at bay.
Location: Mangrove discovery tour is an eye opener for my family.
Friendly staff ensures the entire stay is pleasant, except that the food at Lotus Cafe is not fantastic. Dinner was served rather slowly although the staff is quick to attend to my concerns after my meal was not served 45 mins after placing the order. Nice essence oil fragrance throughout stay in the 2-bedroom suite. Things are quite expensive here compared to what I can get in Singapore at the same price.
