Very disappointing

Posted May 28, 2014
Very shabby hotel, with the smallest double bed I have ever seen. The walls must have been made of paper - we could hear every world of the people next door to us and above us. It was also extremely hot so we had to have the windows open (meaning more noise from outside!) Soggy toast at breakfast, and the fruit looked like it had been left drying out for hours. Plus points - good shower, and while the bed was tiny, it was comfortable.

A very pleasant friendly relaxed place to stay.

Pros: The rooms were situated around a secluded outdoor area. The rooms were large with a good sized ensuite bathroom.
Cons: We thought the bed could have been bigger, as the rooms are large enough to accommodate a full sized double bed.
Location: Situated in Bournville close to Cadbury world and only 10 mins to Birmingham city centre.
We were greeted on arrival by friendly reception staff and shown where to find our room. The room was spacious and warm, which was appreciated as it was a very cold windy day. The hotel information booklet provided was very informative. The room was clean and comfortable, shower was hot and large bath sheets were provided. The only slight criticism would be that the bed was only a 3/4 bed, but on saying that it was very comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked with plenty of choices to suit everyone, staff in the breakfast room were friendly and attentive I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again myself.

In much need of a re-style

Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: Decor
I stayed for the night with my partner whilst at a friend wedding. The room was discusting! I don't think the bed covers and curtain have been changed since the hotel opened. I felt and smelt like I was staying in an old people's home. If they spent a bit of money on new curtains and bedding it would look and feel a lot better.

A bit of a walk to the room, but we enjoyed the privacy. The lobby, lounge and breakfasts were very nice. Great value.

Pros: Airy room with comfortable bed
Cons: Parking was tight as there was a conference on when we arrived
Comfortable bed and quiet surroundings, close to Cadbury world and the attractive Bournville village green.
