Close to shopping. Bed was very comfortable and we loved having the balcony so that we don't feel closed off in a room

Comfortable and Clean

Cons: Add room door prop. Don't deactivate key card until checkout time. I got locked out of the room while loading bags (it was 11am--checkout is noon).
I traveled there to ride Oak Mountain with friends and the hotel was conveniently located only 10 minutes from the park. I liked that the rooms were accessed from external entrances. That made it much easier to take my bike in and out of the room. The hotel is also conveniently located near many eateries, drug stores, and grocery stores. As someone who is very OCD about cleanliness, I struggle with choosing hotels. The last one I stayed in (not a Marriott) was very unsatisfactory. I ended up with ringworm. So you can see how I would have reservations about staying in a hotel. However, this hotel was very clean. Even the walls and trim were clean and not peeling off. The bed was extremely comfortable. I slept like the dead. I typically don't sleep well in hotels. The shower was nice. I loved the TV. The pillows were very comfortable.

Front desk clerk was very courteous, he made me feel wry appreciated. Room was nice but smelled a bit musty. Not bad just not fresh. Clean otherwise. Very convenient location to mall.

The pool was only 5 feet at best and it didn't feel clean. Everything seemed out of date. No chairs on our balcony either.

The pool is monitored 24 hours per day for proper chemical levels and it meets or exceeds the requirements for a safe pool environment. We are sorry that the 5 ft depth did not appeal to you, but this was a design by our architect and cannot be changed. We would love to have you return to see our improvements. Pros: Very clean, comfortable.
Cons: The price... Too expensive for the area and for the accomodations. While the hotel was clean, it just didn't offer e'thing you'd expect for $170.
Location: A reasonably short drive to the Galleria (mall)... It was nice to be nextdoor to "Jim and NIck's BBQ".
We were well pleased by our experience at this particular Courtyard. The price of $170 still seems pretty elevated for this area and for these accomodations. Most importantly, it was clean and the staff was helpful.

A place to sleep

For the rate we paid, we expected more from a Marriott brand. Compared to the Hotel we stayed in the night before it was a disappointment. We were looking forward to the expectation we had, but this time it was not delivered. We will try again, but probably not at this location.

Disappointed

No pool open. Room cleaning less than optimal. Nothing complimentary...coffee only $4 @ Starbucks in hotel. Difficulty parking...too far from room. Would recommend a Hampton Inn were you magically receive breakfast and coffee without an extra charge. We were locked in to our rate and couldn't change any aspect of our reservations. Very disappointed.

There was a stain in the carpet at the entrance of your room and in truth the room should never have been rented in this condition.
