Room somewhat dingy. Poor lighting overall. Wash clothes seem to contain black specs like black eye makeup that never came out during laundry. No hand towels available 2 out of 3 nights. I would give it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. We would stay there again because that is where we stay in B"ham.

BSC AOPi reunion

Posted Nov 25, 2014
The hotel was great and the staff really helpful and courteous. I was visiting colleges with my two kids so we arranged a mini-reunion from BSC 1987 and had great lunch with private room in Ruth Chris. Two constructive comments as follows. First I believe it is Ridiculous to charge for Wifi. With two teenagers traveling with me and needing to get work done, I was VERY disappointed. This might cause me not stay there in the future until corrected. Second the second queen bed was broken as the bottom flipped up. Once informed the hotel said will correct. Other than those two the stay was wonderful. Thank you

Will not come back

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Most of the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the variety for breakfast.
Cons: Room cleanliness
Location: Very conveniently located
After the hotel staff sprayed, we bought and used another can of spray as the room smelled awful with cigarette smoke. Our clothes still smell. The toilet ran continuously. The couch and the heater vent were both very dirty. This room should never have been available for occupancy until it had been thoroughly cleaned.

Wow Factor

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: I think the staff is exceptional.
Cons: Some of the furniture is getting tired..but that is minor.
Location: We were in transit so we did not explore . The setting is beautiful.
We have a small cat and that is how we ended up in this pet friendly hotel. Huge surprise to walk into a luxurious lobby and a Ruth Chris dining room at the same time. Busy that day, there were no available luggage carts so a delightful porter carried my hefty gear to our room. The room furnishings were a bit tired and the WIFI is not free, but for us, space for our kitty was paramoint. We enjoyed breakfast and Happy Hour and dinners at Ruth's. A bit tricky to get there from 65 at rush hour but worth the effort.
