This not a commercial hotel. It is a teachers training centre run by a teachers trade union. Quite similar to University Halls of Residence, which are let out to summer visitors, except for the outstanding quality and cleanliness of the premises and the courtesy and friendliness of all the staff.

I like the location as it's close to the M42 and M5. There is ample parking. The rooms are clean, but a little old fashioned. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is OK, but the quality of it is cheap.

Rooms satisfactory as usual. Disappointed with breakfast in the small room this time; only 'standard' coffee available- was this because only a few people had stayed the night before?

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout and v good breakfast. However there was a Christmas Party booming through the hotel until 1:00 am so no chance of sleep. Good luck to the party goers but I had to pay to watch the ceiling. Unimpressive.

Breakfast very good. Do not try evening meal in "bistro". It was awful. Decor is needing completely updated. Strangest hotel atmosphere I have ever experienced. TBH you would be better to try somewhere else.

I booked a single room. It was really clean, quiet and comfortable. Had an en-suite and everything I needed. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it exceeded my expectations and was good value. The only thing I was less keen on was walking from reception to the accommodation which involved going outside at back of property and it was a bit dark as a solo visitor, as was separate to main building. However room had a phone and I felt secure once there. Nice to see the gardens from window in daylight! Comfortable bed and nice decor. Friendly helpful staff and lots of parking. Would use again

Great couple of days
I had a great couple of days. The staff are sooo accommodating and helpful. The bedroom was clean and fresh, food was lovely - the soup on both days was too spicy for me and they kindly found me a different one. They provided me a room to work in which I greatly appreciated. The only negative was it was a little cold, but it was very cold weather and its a big old rambling building. Would be happy to return.

There was something under the toilet which i showed reception a videoof it, the room was immediately checked i was then offered an upgraded room from a single to a double and was really impressed how it was dealt with. The food was amazing and the breakfast items top notch. I would definitely re book this again 😁

Nice and comfortable
Very nice hotel, comfy cosy bed and a nice breakfast If you travel on public transport like i do its ok longbridge station walking is about 45 mins walk but i got bus 20A to the roundabout then walk up the rose hill
