“Average”
The hotel is nicely located if you are visiting for an exhibition at NEC. The hotel staff seems to think that since people who stay at the hotel are there for an exhibtion and have limited choices close to NEC hence the service that is usually hallmark of a Hilton is missing. Breakfast is below average
“I'd reccomend it with the qualifier, it's convienient to airport or NEC venue, but not impressed”
I called from the coutesy pickup phone at the station, 40 mins. later I called back, they said oh, we'll send him right out, that was what they said the 1st time as well, not a great 1st impression. Check in was smooth, but even though I indicated I'm mobility impaired and would like a room close to the elevator, I was put in a room at the farthest end away from it, and while solo, was put in a room with 2 very narrow and lumpy twin beds, not comfortable at all. Very clean. I was there for a concert at the NEC, while going out to the venue before the show, doors were open at back of the hotel a very short walk away, they were inexplicably locked before the crowd from the show were able to return, leading to a long, dark walk around the hotel thuogh the parking lot, as a woman alone and somewhat handicapped I was not at all pleased with this. Late night bar food was good, a very nice hoummous plate, and potatoe wedges w/ dip. both tasty and well done. Good service as well. The very late night staff were kind enough to find me a tube for a fragile item, but I never recieved my wakeup call, though the courtesy bus was right on time in the morning. As Hiltons go, not what I'm used to from them.
“Convenient location, good food”
I was there two nights and on dined alone both nights. The food at the bar and restaurant are excellent. The bar and wait staff were extremely courteous as well.
